Welcome to Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc., home of The American Wrestling Network, Inc., American Wrestling Network Archives, MessyWorks and Something WILD In California. Please visit our sites to learn more about our tradition and history.
We specialize in the sale of vintage pro wrestling tapes. We are NOT tape traders. ALL our tapes are the original video-NO DUBS, NO BULL!™ If we don't have it in our vast stock, we can special order it for you. While we do offer current releases, we specialize in out of print videos from around the world. There's more to wrestling than the WWF (or should we call them WWE now), and we can get it! We can special order tapes from defunct federations (AWA, NWA, ECW, SMW, UWF, etc.) as well as most current independent federations. We also carry international federations from Japan (IWGP, NJPW, AJPW) and Mexico (Lucha-CMLL, AAA, IWA). We offer Mixed Martial-Arts federations too, including the original series of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tapes, and PRIDE.
We are the EXCLUSIVE distributors of Heartland Wrestling Association's now-defunct Brian Pillman Memorial Show and are an Official Distributor for HWA, MSPW, MAW, UPW, FMW, Pro Wrestling IRON and MORE! We also carry merchandise from rising stars in wrestling such as NWA MidWest X Divison Champion Justin Kage, Rev. Axl Future, editor of Claw Hold! journal of wrestling tradition and former MSPW Tag Team Champions The All-Stars, "The Human Rulebook" Chandler McClure & "The Male Cheerleader" Bryce Benjamin! We hope to feature more outstanding independent talent soon!
With our listings, we sell under the following terms. We are very open to answering questions and concerns in a timely manner. We will never ignore your e-mails with regard to our products. Keep in mind, however, that the key to a fast answer is making sure you give us time to respond.
We are upfront with our packing and postage fees to ensure your merchandise arrives in the best possible condition. Some sellers are really inflexible about their selling terms, but not us! Not only that, but many sellers have "hidden fees" in their shipping. We'll always give you a choice on shipping. Whether it's Media Mail, Priority Mail, insurance, or anything else, we'll always give you what you ask for! We are firm believers in customer service, as we hope to create many return customers. We will never be rude to you, as some people are. You would think it's a chore for them to deal with customers. Not us. We want your business!
We believe in communication being the key to a good transaction. Some sellers don't ever communicate with you, and all of the sudden, you find an item in your mail. We will let you know every step of the way what's going on. Also, how many times have you purchased an item and it comes with no return address, no label, no nothing? You wouldn't buy things in a store like that, so why should you have to here? We strive to be as desriptive as possible in our auctions, so you get what you want. We want to be your best buying experience as a seller, the seller you've always wanted to have. Judging from our feedback to date, it looks like we're doing just that.
So far, we've only had a few negatives-mostly from people who decided to buy on their own sale terms rather than ours.
We are very flexible with our sale terms, but we are in business and cannot wait on people to "get around" to paying us. Our sale terms are quite clear, and we are very flexible when given advance notice of a problem. However, we are very strict about our payment deadlines and we don't fear leaving negative feedback when justified -- but when we do leave negative feedback, you can bet it must be something pretty serious to warrant it. As is typical among these poorer buyers, these people felt a need to "zap us back" with a negative comment. However, we let our positive feedback speak for itself. We have several return customers, buyers and sellers, who are thoroughly satisfied with us, as our ratio of positive to negative feedback reflects. We are not afraid of negative feedback, and while we certainly wish we could avoid it, we won't try to hide it. We are always willing to discuss the circumstances behind all of our feedback, positive AND negative.
International buyers welcome! Not only Canada and Great Britain, but EVERYWHERE across the globe! We have staff members who speak German and French, and are currently seeking out Japanese and Spanish translators! We are happy to work with you, and will do our best to work around time differences and language barriers!
When we're not selling commmercial tapes, we like to throw in other unique wrestling related items. For compilations, we try to shy away from "Best of" compilations, unless they are produced by the individual wrestler themself. Why? How many times do you see (and bid on) a "Best of" compilation on Ebay, only to learn it's just a few dark matches that weren't even that good to begin with? When you think of a "Best of" compilation, you want to see rare and hard-to-find matches. When we put up a "Best of", rest assured that it truly is a "Best of".
Compilations are from the American Wrestling Network Archives (information below) exhibits, and are NOT featured in our regular catalog. Compilations are made upon request.
The American Wrestling Network Archives, or AWNA, is a non-profit corporate subsidiary of the American Wrestling Network, Inc., a professional wrestling federation (not backyard wrestling, not roleplaying, not any sort of fantasy camp). The Archives buys wrestling-related collections for our educational museum. Staff volunteers will guide you through the years of this great business through videos, books, magazines, and other memorabilia. Open by appointment only, please phone 847-489-2087 for more information. At the AWNA, we're wrestling historians as well as wrestling purists. So, if you have a collection, be it of magazines, tapes, newsletters, books, or anything else of significance, drop them a line at AWN_Archives@yahoo.com and let them know what you have.
Look for the AWNA online at http://get.to/AWNArchives in progress. We will pay you for your collection, and unlike Ebay, we don't collect fees! Please, price your items fairly. We're open to negotiations!
Also, please visit the auctions of sunnibear1. A member of Shadow Fire Promotions since late 2000, she offers her own wildly imaginitive women's fashions hand designed through her own label, Something WILD In California, a Shadow Fire Promotions affiliate. A true professional, Sunnibear can create just about anything you can imagine, and with much better quality and prices than anything store bought. Not to mention that all her creations are 100% unique. You will NEVER find anything exactly the same quality and design of Sunnibear's items in any store!!
If you shop Lover's Lane, Frederick's of Hollywood, and Victoria's Secret for sexy stuff for your wife, girlfriend, or significant other, throw those catalogs away, and e-mail Sunnibear at something_wilder@yahoo.com
From robes to rompers, towels to thongs, bras to bustiers, Sunnibear's imagination provides her with unique perspective on women's fashion. So, if you really want to impress that special someone in your life, instead of flowers, candy, or a day at the spa, show her how much you really care by putting some thought into a unique gift that you can guarantee will not be seen anywhere else!!
