Hello all! I started buying on ebay a few years ago as I was looking for a couple of hard to find true-crime novels. I then discovered it is a great place to buy new additions to my book, CD and movie collections! Now I am a regular buyer (some would say addict!) and do most of my gift shopping on ebay. I especially love to buy treats for our little girls Kimberly (our daughter), Ellie (a Fox Terrier-x), Jessie (a Maltese-x) and Lilly (a Chihuahua-x) and our rabbit Mister Bubbles! My husband is a mechanic, and he finds it a great place for bargain tools! We started selling things together (I am the Shaz and he is the Dee!) but he lost interest pretty quick, so I continued on my own! I started selling when my family had a big clean up at home and decided to have a garage sale. Lots of stuff didn't sell, so I decided to try my luck selling on ebay. I found that things sold surprisingly well, so I put some of my old books and CD's up for auction. My Dad goes to a lot of library sales and ends up buying boxes of books just because there is one or two that he wants. My mother-in-law does the same thing at auctions, so I seem to end up selling their rejects for them! And I have to admit that I do the same thing myself at garage sales, so there always seems to be something for me to list!

I really enjoy the whole process, and love seeing my pre-loved items go to a new home! I generally post items the first working day after receiving payment, but with other commitments this is not always possible. I get my postage prices from the Australia Post web-site and can only assume they are correct. What you pay is actual postage plus 50c for packaging-I try to use recycled packaging whenever possible to cut down on costs. I am a strong believer in following ebay's rules for the protection of both buyer and seller. If I do not receive a payment in the 10 days requested without prior arrangement I will report the buyer as a non-paying bidder and leave appropriate feedback. This is not somthing I like to do, but as it costs me every time I list and sell an item this is the only way I can be reimbursed if a person doesn't pay. I am also a firm believer in the importance of communication between buyer and seller. I always send an e-mail when payment is received so you know your item is on it's way and would appreciate knowing when it arrives!
