After years of "collecting and collecting and collecting"... well you probably know someone with a similar story. I have decided with great trepidation, to allow some of these treasures an opportunity to find new homes in the great World Wide Web. Where they may have a chance to become well loved by others. Otherwise known as another periodic attempt to downsize my stuff or more realistically to make room for more stuff! About the Artist / Designer Ms. Cohen runs a small art studio in beautiful Bucks County, PA, which operates under the name of Konoponop Designs. She designs and fabricates art jewelry that is one-of a kind or limited edition employing precious metals and semi-precious stones or found objects utilizing a vast array of metalsmithing skills learned over the last 13 years. In the last two years, Ms. Cohen has also started to produce handmade papers and paper crafts from plant fibers and re-cycled paper, as well as one-of-a-kind hand-knitted garments from unique novelty fibers, hand-dyed, handspun wool and/or other fibers. All of Ms. Cohen's work is greatly influenced by visual objects found in nature or urban architecture. Color and the interplay of different textures are the most important aspects of her art. Her creativity is ever evolving and each artistic endeavor is her inspiration for the next creation whether it is made from metals, fiber, stones, or found objects. She finds great fulfillment in taking raw materials and creating useful pieces of art to be enjoyed for many years to come. Ms. Cohen's creations have appeared in juried gallery shows and juried fine arts and crafts fairs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
