Shejo (thats what my daddy called me)



In previous life, I owned an 1884 Victorian two-story historic home in which I had a tea room, bed and breakfast with a small gift shop.  The house decorated with antiques, antique clothing and shoes, furniture, accessories and much more.

I had little girls Victorian type tea parties for birthday's and special occasions.  Therefore, I had a lot of tea services, tea pots, china cups, beaded, sequined, and lace dresses along with hats, shoes, purses and jewelry.

I sold the house and business and came home with a lot of antique and vintage items.  My home and garage are full and I need to clear some of them out.

I also inherited a large lot of HO trains and all the trimmings.  I can't keep those either.  I will start listing those again soon.

I have collected dolls for many years with a total collection of 1000 or so.  I need to turn some of those, but I have to keep my dolls from the 1950's.  I find myself doing a lot of shopping on eBay, looking for the dolls that got away.  So far, I am doing a good job replacing lost items and more.  Please don't tell my husband.

I am just a big old kid.  I admit it..............

I was given my first Ginny doll for Christmas in 1954.  We bought her at the old Sears and Roebuck store in Dallas.  She was just 7 inches tall and I took her everywhere.  Somehow, I lost her, I guess because she was so small, but still have all my other dolls.  I have been a Ginny doll fan ever since.  She is my all time favorite.  She was a painted lash, 1954, rosey cheeks, red lips, rare brown eyes and long brown braided hair.  I had a lot of clothes and a small pink and black "Rich Uncle" suitcase.  My personal collection has kept on growning, trying to find my original doll.

In December 2005, I found her on eBay.  She is beautiful!  Of course she is not my original doll, but I have adopted her and love her just the same.  She is an exact copy of my original doll.

At this point, I have in my personal collection some 75 Ginny dolls.  I should sell some of these dolls but it is so hard to part with these little babies.

  

 

I love my antique Ginnys and want to keep their well known traditions alive.

Selling and buying on eBay is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work.  I take pride in my little eBay business and enjoy it greatly.
