The Sheriff and the Frog
|
The Sheriff and the Frog is a small Montreal-based company dealing almost exclusively in rare, collectible board games. Occasionnally, we also have some rare, old-fashioned video games and even some roleplaying games. We do business mainly on Ebay, and we're known as the most reliable source for finding games such as Talisman, Cosmic Encounter, Warhammer Quest, Supremacy, HeroQuest, and much, much more!
Please note: ALL our listing are subject to professional Square Trade standards (click on the Square Trade
on any of our auctions to learn more)
A FEW REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER BUYING FROM US:
One's got to be careful when buying collector items on the
internet. The Sheriff can give you the following guarantees:
1. All our games are guaranteed COMPLETE (unless
otherwise noted): Over the years, we managed to compile detailed listings
of all the parts our games are supposed to include. Plainly stated, here's what
this means: when we tell you a game is complete, we can say it is for sure.
Always be careful about such things as "this game looks complete". You'll
frequently see such claims on Ebay. Experience (and common sense) allows us to
say that unless a game has been thouroughly inventoried, there's a 99% chance
that at least one of these hundreds of cards or playing pieces WILL be missing.
Don't take any chance.
2. Our descriptions are detailed and accurate: Our rating
system offers you a precise and detailed description of what
you're buying, including all those tiny details a picture won't show you.
3. Ease of communication: All emails will be answered
within 24 hours (with the exception of weekends and holidays). If you have any
question, you'll get your answer in a timely fashion.
4. Trust: Here it is: perhaps the single most important
thing when doing business on the internet. The Sheriff and the Frog is an
established company. If this isn't enough for you, just have a look at our
feedback: it speaks for itself.

SHIPPING POLICY
As mentioned on all our items' descriptions, we do combine shipping. If buying multiple items, you only need to pay the
actual shipping costs, plus a small fee for handling and packaging
materials. For exact rates, please send us a mail before making your
purchase. Don't forget to include the exact Ebay numbers of all the items you'd like to buy.
Insurance:
Insurance is mandatory and costs 1$ for each 100$ of coverage.
Shipping delays:
The shipping chart appearing in our listings indicate average delays for each
type of shipping. These were given to us by Canada Post. Like all postal
delays, these do not include weekends and holidays. International customers,
please bear in mind that customs can add a few days to these normal delays.
IMPORTANT: We don't have any control on these matters and
we will not accept any responsibility if your package takes longer to reach
you.
Shipping mistakes:
We're doing everything to make sure such things never happen but, still,
we do make mistakes once in a while. Over the past few years, it happened a few times that we sent
someone the wrong package. If such a thing ever happens, we'll ask you to send
the item back to us before we either refund your purchase or send you the
correct item. Of course, we'll pay all shipping expenses.

Rating Charts
RATINGS? WHY???
We're well-aware of the kind of problems one might encounter
when buying used games online. Words such as "good condition" are
very subjective. "You say the board is dirty and that many items are
broken. Well, this game is 15 years old! considering this, it IS in good condition!"
Does this sound familiar? As for pictures, they can't show everything, and
definition is never good enough for you to see those tiny defects you'll find
when you receive the game...
Most of our material being collector items, we tried to find
a good system to allow you to have a clear idea of the product you're
interested in. We came up with this rating chart, which has been praised by
many customers. Still, describing used games isn't easy: just as it is
impossible to provide detailed pictures of all single game piece, it's
impossible to describe every single small trace of wear. Ratings will give you
an average idea of a game's condition: anything that differs significantly
from this description will be noted. We're constantly trying to improve this
rating system, so any suggestions
will be welcomed.
If you'd like to see actual pictures of an item before
making your purchase, please do not hesitate to
send us a mail.

placed by resellers as a proof of purchase or warranty) will not always be
noted. These can usually be removed with some lighter fluid so they will
not be considered as wear and will NOT lower a rating.
