Ever heard the expression "It takes money to make money?" Well, guess what? That is not always the case. In addition, if you do not have much capital to start a business, you have no choice. Being a "cheapskate" is a necessity and eBay will help you on that route.
Years ago, I worked as a restaurant manager for a major chain of fast food stores. I was barely making enough money to live on, and the job offered no opportunity for me to make more. Yet, without quitting my day job, I was able to launch a new career that - within just a few months - doubled my income. In addition, it took just $0 to get it started.
How did I do it? I sold my book collections on eBay and then slowly expanded to all my unwanted stuff.
You see, I happen to love doing business. Therefore, while still working at my day I started my quest and I had read an article about eBay but thought the whole thing was tough but I tried it and my regrets are zero. I spend my time with family because I no longer have a commitment to anyone.
I began selling on eBay, but soon realized I had to quit my job since within a week I was making more than I made a month working 6 days at the restaurant. Therefore, I invested the money I made on eBay on other items I wanted to resell. I had trouble finding stuff to resell on eBay and I had to use another cheapskate approach to escape the idea of going back to work because I was already enjoying life without stress. Therefore, I came up with an idea to start a home cleaning service. So I spent $10 to print up 500 flyers, and then hand-delivered them in upscale residential neighborhoods. When calls started coming in, I scheduled the work during the day and managed my eBay business from my laptop.
While cleaning houses one client asked me why I had a laptop with me and I mentioned to her that I sold stuff on eBay she immediately took me to her storage unit which was filled with all kinds of things, from plates to chairs and she wanted me to help sell them. Soon everyone in the neighborhood was looking for me and by now as you can tell my house cleaning business was over and reselling stuff for my clients was in.
Do you have an entrepreneurial bug? Do not waste anymore time looking for huge capital to launch your business idea. Start where you are and from $0 to $2500, a week might be something waiting for you.
I tell my story here because I want to impress on people the fact that starting an online business is not hard. Taking the first step is the golden key to more opportunities. Today I run several auctions and stores on eBay but I have also ventured into other online business opportunities. Today others are involved in my business and this auction site is for helping others get off the ground.
Online business is a play ground for all kinds of people, genuine and not so genuine I've always hated getting ripped off... taken advantage of... However, along the way I have created wonderful relationships with genuine business owners online. I always say I don't mind pinching pennies, as long as hundred dollar bills pop out!
