I’m a baby boomer born in San Francisco, I traveled the first eight years of my life because my father was an instructor in the Air Force. He retired in NJ in 1959, there I finished school and met my husband just after graduating from High School. We have been married for thirty seven years, We have a son, a daughter, and three grandsons, We now are living our empty nester years in the hills of WV with our beloved pets.

I am a happily married Christian gal and a flower designer by trade. I have worked in banking and retail management most of my working years. Before moving to WV I owned a cross stitch shop “Shirley’s Strawberry Basket” and ran it from the Carriage Barn on our farm. Now I spend my days collecting, decorating, sewing, gardening, crafting and restoring our pre-civil war farmhouse. My husband and I love to vacation in the Outer Banks of NC. We take small trips through out the year to historical sites, flee markets, antique stores and estate sales. In the evenings from spring through fall you can find us setting on our front porch on our beautiful 250 acre farm. Our peaceful little paradise!

I am passionate about embroidery and cross stitch! I collect samplers and all types of textiles. I love to transform vintage finds into unique cottage décor.

I am thankful to the Lord for my creative energy that I have been blessed with.
