Yesterday:


 We “Believe in The Music”, the lifestyles, and the Consumer Electronics of Yesteryear. The “Golden Days of Radio”, The “Fabulous Fifties,” the Sock Hops, the Diner, the Jukebox and “The Hit Parade” all come to mind. We miss the vintaged styled Jukeboxes, the home Console Stereos, the “ole-timey” Radios, the all in one Turntable Entertainment Centers and Portable Record Players. Ah “Do You Remember These”? Our mission is to bring them all back to life and to make them affordable, so everyone can remember, enjoy and revisit the “Good Ole Days”.

Where would we be today without the CD, the DVD, the iPod, the MP3, the Internet and the Computer. The Consumer Electronics of today has changed the way we live, the way we shop and the way we create and listen to music.
Our mission is to search out and find the Best Buys from the best Manufacturers of today’s Consumer Electronics and then make them available to everyone. We do “Believe In The Music” and the Fusion of the Consumer Electronics of Yesteryear, the Consumer Electronics of Today and the Consumer Electronics of Tomorrow.


Tomorrow:


The Vinyl Record, which was pronounced dead after the birth of the CD, is making a comeback. The portable Cassette player (Walkman)and the portable CD (Discman) were done in by the iPod. The Cassette killed the 8-Track and now the CD is eliminating the Cassette. Quadraphonic Sound was born and died in the seventies, but was reborn in the Nineties as Surround Sound. Analog TV has been replaced by Digital TV, the DVD has replaced the VCR and now the HD-DVD is trying to replace the DVD, and so it goes.

It is having the proper Vision of the Consumer Electronics of Tomorrow that is important. Being aware of and understanding cutting edge technology and being able to apply it to today’s Market Place is part of that Vision. Not having that Vision did in Circuit City, the number 1 Consumer Electronics retailer in the country. They were not alone among the other top ten were: Silo, Campo, Fretter, Highland, Crazy Eddie, Olson’s and Stereo City. All of them are now gone because they did not have the proper Vision of Consumer Electronics Retailing.

The correct Vision of what makes a good buy, the Vision of just how important Customer Service is, and the Vision of the fusion of Consumer Electronics of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow is what CATVison Digital is all about. We believe in that fusion and we “Believe In The Music".


About CATVision Digital


CATVision Digital Electronics (formerly The Audio Clinic) opened for business in Goldsboro, North Carolina in 1975 with its Mission to bring Consumer Electronics Product Knowledge to the Electronics Retail Industry. The challenge, in doing so, was to also bring Quality Consumer Electronic products, at affordable prices, to the retail marketplace.

The founder, Randy Shoemaker, had already been in the Musical Instrument and Consumer Electronics Retail Industries since 1968. In 1975 Randy became a charter member of the Society of Audio Consultants (S.A.C.) and later that same year became the state proctor for North Carolina. Randy’s first White Paper, written for the Electronic Retail Industry, was first published in 1977.

In 1984 Who’s Who in America listed Randy as one of the country’s top Consumer Electronics Retail Trainers. Numerous newspaper articles including Parade Magazine have featured Randy as a leader and educator in The Consumer Electronics Retail Industry.

Randy has represented and trained for: US Pioneer Corp, Comordore Computers, Shure Brothers, United Audio Dual Turntables, Mattel Intelevision, Audio Research, BIC Turntables, Mitsubishi Electronics, ESS Speaker Manufacturer, Fisher Radio Corp, and Soundcraftsman.

CATVision Digital products have been featured in newspapers, magazines, on radio and have been used as background props in TV shows and in many Movies. We have 10 of our products on display at the Espai D'Art Contemporani de Castelló Museum, in Velencia Spain.

As it states in our logo, it is "Your World, Our Vision and Your Connection". Part of "Our Vision" is to continue to search for the highest quality and best buys in Consumer Electronics of "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow".

We take being "Your Connection" very seriously. For that reason, Catvision Digital has established certain minimum requirements that a manufacturer or distributor must meet, for us to continue to carry their product. Those requirements are as follows:

1. Minimum 1 Year Factory Warranty (parts and Labor) on their product.

2. Product Return Rate below the industry average of 8% (1st 30 days)

3. Manufacturer or Distributor to cover return shipping cost of a defective item (1st 30 days)

4. Non-excessive number of negative reviews by the consumer.

Catvision Digital will, as of October 1st, be eliminating certain models of Entertainment Centers and record players from its line up of Consumer Electronics.

The following models are being discontinued because they no longer meet 1 or more of the minimum requirements.

When a manufacturer or a retailer becomes more interested in selling an extended warranty than providing a decent warranty on their product to start with, it is time to look for another brand or another retailer.
