About the Artist:
Teague currently resides in Eugene, Oregon with her sweetheart and their cat, Chairman Mao. She was born and raised in the Portland area, leaving only for a brief stint in Colorado to attend Colorado College. After completing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology and English, she decided to repent and become an artist.
Teague has been crafting jewelry from beads for most of her life, and discovered lampworked beads in 2004, her last year of college. In 2005 Teague bought herself a simple lampworking kit and set it up on the kitchen table. She has since purchased a kiln and now enjoys her studio space on the local Last Friday Artwalk. Teague’s work is focused around intricate patterns and unusual color combinations with high contrast. She enjoys making beads, jewelry and blowing small vessels and glass ornaments. Teague is constantly testing her abilities and hopes to expand into larger glass forms in the future.
