A little bit about me...

I am married to my b est friend & my husband Michael. Together we have 6 adult children, with 9 grandchildren. Without the support of my family, this would not be possible.
Simply Scrapping has and continues to grow because of you. I would like to thank each every one of you for your business and support.
My Retail Experience started like manyof you, working at the local High School Concessions, Zesto Ice Cream Shop, amd the South Dakota State Fair for over 25 years which 20 was in management.
After having my children I chose to re-enter the work force and I accepted a position at our local Hotel Coffee Shop which would give me time for my children and maintain my home. From there I was offered a position as an Assistant Manager for a Speciality Popcorn & Ice Cream Store at our local Shopping Mall.
From there I moved on to Opening of a Hardee's Resturant as an Assistant Supervisor. The next challenge I accepted was a Pizza Hut Supervisor and then to sales for State Snyder Drug. My career advanced within that company to a Home Health Manager and Pharmacy.
Taking my knowledge and skills I was offered a position with the Lewis Drug Corporation to open a Home Health Department from the ground up which set a record for being profitable within 12 months. I also assisted in opening 4 other Home Health Departments within the Lewis Corporation, which included one store in Mankato, Minnesota. I also was employed by Sioux Valley Hospital at the same time as Lewis Drug for Home Oxygen and the dispensing of other durable medical equipment for patients.
Over the years, my education in Human Services & Criminal Justice gave me valuable experience in Marketing & Management, Sales & Service, Public Speaking, Insurance Billing & Collections, and an Educator. I also was in "Loss Provention" for our store utilizing my Criminal Justice Degree.
Moving to Denver, Colorado in 1998 I was offered an opporotunity to Open a Recruitment Firm. After presenting a Business Proposal and Plan to the investors, Supreme Staffing Inc. was opened and I was the Director of Operations and Owner until our move to Washington DC.
Expanding on one of my passions I studied and became Certified in Interior Design which lead me into New Home Sales and a Home Design Center.
Due to Health Issues it became time to work from home. With minimal experience on the computer, but having over 35 years work experience, no experience with Ebay, I started my business.
I consulted again with the Lord and my husband (my two business partners) I started Simply Scrapping, operating from a tiny bedroom.
I started selling some pre-made pages and odds and ends on Ebay and decided I must get serious about starting a business. I had $500(what I call fun money, my stash of cash) and began to shop for Bargains. If it was Marked down, had a Red tag on it, it was mine. Over the years my inventory has grown from 100’s to 1,000's upon 1,000s of items.
Each day I continue to study, learn, and grow. In each one of us we have many gifts and talents. Surround yourself with positive people who support, believe and encourage you to reach down inside of you and discover the gifts, talents, and desires you possess. Building a business takes many hours and a solid support system. A blessing in the making.
