The business is a sole proprietorship that is owned by a second generation reservation trader, Vicky J. Kohnke. Her parents operated a store in Gallup, New Mexico that catered to the Zuni Arts and Crafts for several years. Her chief adviser is Sherwin G. Kohnke, retired from the trading business, whose roots in the business, date from before the Lewis and Clark Expedition. His paternal grandmother was a LEWIS family member.
