MINIATURE BOOKS
Whether you are a miniature book collector or a dollhouse miniatures
enthusiast, I hope you will find pleasure in the handmade miniature books I
offer. Most of the books are adapted reproductions of full-sized volumes
that are very old, some are creations from my own tiny little
mind. It is my hope to preserve as much literature and
illustrations in miniature form as I can.
All books are hand made without
the use of a press.
I have classified
some of my books as Limited Editions, meaning that only a certain number
will be made. Others are open editions, meaning that I don't know how many I
wll make. In a way, they are also Limited Editions...after all, how many books
can a person make in their lifetime :-) Most books are
signed, dated and numbered.
What is a Miniature Book? According to The Miniature Book
Society, "In the United States, a miniature
book is usually considered to be one which is no more than three inches in
size--height, width or thickness. Some collectors do occasionally acquire
slightly larger books. Outside of the United States, books up to four
inches are collected as miniature books."
Most of my miniature books are about the size of a
