Northern Tropics is a small, local greenhouse business located in Muncie, IN. Founded in 2005, we specialize in unusual plants you just don't expect to find in Indiana, such as Victoria Water Lilies, Bananas, Alocasias, and other surprizes that I find.
In the spring, we offer many varieties of tomatoes (100 or more!) and peppers (15or more varieties), water gardening supplies, such as Green Clean and AgSafe Water plant fertilizers-- and plants such as lotus, water lilies, Victoria Water Lilies, water hyacinths, water lettuce, bog iris, narrow cattail, four leaf water clover, hardy and variegated umbrella palms, submerged oxygenator plants and many more.
In the summer, we offer perennials, tropical bananas, alocasias, hardy hibiscus, fresh produce, and hardy musa basjoo bananas.
In the fall, we offer pumpkins, gourds, mums, flowering kale, asters, straw and other seasonal items.
In the winter, we offer hand made wreaths and swags.
Come and see us...our website is www.northerntropics.com
Come visit us today at 1501 East Fuson Road, 1/2 mile south of the new Walmart on State Road 3, at the corner of State Road 3 and Fuson Road. We are located right across the road from Shawnee Heights Baptist Church, and if you get to the overpass of the bypass, you've gone too far! And we have a great big light gray barn with a green metal roof in the pasture.
Our telephone number and hours can be found on our website, and for your convenience, we now accept Visa and Mastercard, too!
