I have been buying and selling on Ebay since 1999. I changed my name in 2004 from SaddleHill (the name of the hill our Victorian Home sits upon) to Snickerdoodle*Dandy. Choosing a new name was fun – I love snickerdoodle cookies and my family is a bunch of patriotic “Yankee Doodle Dandies!”

One of my first sales on Ebay was a new package of flannel sheets. I had bought two (they were on clearance for $10 a set) but realized I only needed one set. I sold the unopened set for nearly $50 to a buyer in North Carolina! I was hooked! One of my first purchases was a lot of cloth diapers a seller had bought and washed but never used. What a steal those were!

I’ve sold 1970’s Izod Lacoste baby clothing to a buyer in Japan and a Lanz Flannel nightgown to a buyer in Hawaii! I buy what I like, perhaps enjoy it for a while, and then see if it will sell. I love going to estate sales and auctions to find collectibles and interesting pieces of our American history. However with four children much of my buying and selling revolves around children’s clothing. I’m always on the lookout for good sales of quality clothing.
