I earned a Master's degree in biology, but I found that pipetting and experimenting with mice were not for me. I've come to accept that business is in my blood. Growing up in Montgomery, AL, my family's furniture store (www.marthahouse.com) was my second home, and I would go there every day after school. I was sorting mail order by the time I was five. While other teens were working at movie theaters and fast food restaurants, I was typing invoices and taking orders for catalogs.

Fast forward a few years, and I lived in southern California for five years. During this time, I founded Socally Gifts as a commercial venture. I had the great fortune to meet my wonderful boyfriend, Michael, who is also involved with this business. In April 2008, we relocated 2000 miles to Chicago, IL.

I have been a member of the Ebay community for 8 years and selling for 3 years under a different, personal screen name. I eventually hope to take this endeavour from sideline to frontline in the coming years.
