About 15 years ago my wife and I were vacationing in Thailand where I purchased about a dozen custom made white dress shirts.  When the shirts arrived I tried them on and discovered that the collars were about 1/2 size too small.  After searching all over town for a solution I finally found what was called "Shirt Collar Extenders."  Problem solved.  That gave me the idea of making these wonderful devices more visable and available to the general public.  Hence, Softlife Products Company.

That's the story of my part time button business.  But my professional occupation has been something quite different.  For the last 43 years I have been employed as an engineer at NASA.  I have worked on the Apollo Program, Skylab Program, Apollo Soyuz Program and the Space Shuttle/Space Station Programs.  I'm 74 years old and have no plans to retire any time soon!

Notwithstanding the above, I must say that my real passion comes from photography. Photography has been my hobby since I was 13 years old when I bought my first camera.  Up until very recently I have had a darkroom in which I did all my own processing, finishing, and matting.  I have recently switched from film technology to digital technology.   I have included a web site of my favorite images for your enjoyment.  Let me know what you think!
