About Velvet Leotards:

I have been making leotards since my daughter started gymnastics at age 4. I was already experienced in constructing elaborate Halloween costumes for my three children. I decided there was no reason I couldn’t make leotards too! And not just any leotards would do for my daughter. She had to have the snazziest and most original leos in the gym!

Velvet Leotards was established in January 2000, when I was asked to make the warm-up leos for the Arizona State University Women’s Gymnastic Team. They were awesome leos,  maroon velvet with shiny gold straps across the back. In 2000 straps on leos were not as common as they are today, especially on College warm-up leos! About that time, I began selling to my daughter’s teammates. In February 2001, I began selling on Ebay. Since then I have expanded my line, from just leos to many other matching pieces! I am currently a Power Seller on Ebay and have the largest Ebay store for leotards!

 My fabrics are the highest quality poly/lycra velvet or nylon. This is one reason why my line is so fantastic. Where else can you get an entire outfit consisting of as many pieces as you want, all in matching fabric? Your gymnast won’t look like one of the crowd wearing Velvet Leotards gymwear!
