Some Hip Items Today
For Sell
Hello fellow eBayers! I started selling on eBay in 2005. I have had nothing but good experiences with my customers and with eBay. Some sellers get down on eBay because of the fees, but where else could a one person operation get all the exposure eBay provides? I say no where! It's not like they hide the fact that fees will be charged and exactly how much they will be. Ok, enough said.
Since this page is entitled 'About me', let me give you a little history about my store. All of my life I have had a facination with finding the ultimate bargain. As a child, my mother would take my siblings and I to garage/tag/yard sales every Thursday throughout the summer months. I can remember rolling pennies so I would have money to spend. In those days you could get some pretty awesome stuff for a nickle or dime. On the weekends we would go to estate sales and auctions. The other children bought objects for their own use or enjoyment but I always bought items I thought were a 'deal' and could be resold for profit. Once a year we would have our own sale. I would add all of my finds to the sale and I always made more money than anyone else. My siblings were very competitive so we made a game of it. As I got older I never lost the need for the thrill of the ultimate find. I have found many interesting and valuable items over the years and I truly enjoyed researching and learning about antiques, collectibles and unusual or obscure objects. Luckily I live on a farm where I have tons of storage space. Unfortunately, during all those years of collecting, I never found the time to have my own sale. Life gets so busy sometimes you can't add another project. Then, without warning, my life changed forever. I had to retire on disability. I was devastated. I had never known any other life than to get up every day and go to work. Mentally I thought I could go back to my old life but physically my body said no. It was really tough at first but then came remission. The worst part about this whole ordeal was the financial burden I was putting on my husband and my family. I racked my brain to think of a way I could help. Then it dawned on me...now I have time for my own garage sale! I checked out eBay and the rest is history. I sell my own things and on occasion I sell things for family members. I have collected the odd and unusual for 45+ years. I have a wide variety of products including but not limited to, Harley Davidson parts and memorabilia, pottery (I especially like teapots!), fishing, golf, sports memorabilia, NASCAR, folk art, artwork, paintings, music and entertainment memorabilia, breweriana, tobacciana, Ethnicities, Disneyana, nodders, and much more! To be honest, I have forgotton all that I do have. Hopefully I will be able to sell the many items I have in storage and we can continue to stay in our home a little longer. We had considered moving but due to the drop in the real estate market we don't want a lifetime of blood, sweat and tears to sell for half of what it's worth. For now we will sit tight and keep plugging along. So, if you have the time, stop in and check out my store. The money I earn is used to pay for costly medications and supplement our living expenses. I am very thankful for the opportunity to help my family and it helps that I enjoy the thrill of the auction. Selling items on eBay enables my mind to stay active and it is my way of helping the world go greener. Not only should we recycle our plastic and paper, we should recycle everything. When I was collecting all of these items I never gave a thought that they would someday provide me a way to help feed my family and hopefully change my destiny. So...that's the story of Some Hip Items Today For Sell.
I take pride in customer service and I am known for my safe and fast shipping practices (feedback score 100%)! Thank you for taking the time to read about me! I hope we can do business!

Spring will be here before we know it and the gloom of winter will be gone! I spend my springtime in the woods looking for morel mushrooms! I am addicted not only to eating them but walking around the woods looking for them. There is nothing like seeing all of the beautiful spring wild flowers popping up! On many days I am lucky enough to run into a deer or an owl or some other woodland creature. There is nothing like seeing a wild turkey sitting on her nest full of eggs. I find an inner peace in the woods. It reminds me that there is still good in the world and I should enjoy life while I can! Never take anything for granted. We are only on this earth for a short time and you should make the most of it! For all you other mushroom hunters.....Happy Hunting! I hope you find the mother lode!
On a more serious note, I would like to say a few words to raise community awareness about a disease called EB. My dear friend Bruce lives with this disease but he never gives up the fight. He is truly an inspiration and one of the strongest people I know. What is Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)? EB is a group of diseases characterized by blister formation after minor trauma to the skin. This family of disorders, most of which are inherited, range in severity from mild to the severely disabling and life-threatening diseases of the skin. This rare genetic disorder affects all ethnic and racial groups. Estimates indicate that as many as 100,000 Americans suffer from some form of EB. Try to imagine a child with painful wounds similar to burns covering most of his or her body. Unlike burns these wounds never go away. This child can never ride a bike, skate, or participate in sports because the normal play of children causes chronic sores. Wounds may cover up to 75 percent of the child's body. Imagine a diet of only liquids or soft foods because blistering and scarring occur in the mouth and esophagus. Scarring also causes the fingers and toes to fuse, leaving deformities which severely limit function. Imagine a life tied to hospitals for wound treatment, blood transfusions, biopsies and surgeries. The eyes often blister preventing sight for days. Chronic anemia reduces energy and growth is retarded. There is little hope for life beyond 30 years. My friend Bruce turned 42 last December.
Get Involved with the EB Medical Research Foundation!
The EB Medical Research Foundation is always in need of hard working volunteers. If you would like to get involved helping out the children affected by EB please contact the EBMRF. Thank you for your service.
You can support the EBMRF with just the swipe of a card! If you or friends and family members are a Ralph's Club Card member, your card could earn hundreds of dollars for EBMRF! Just log onto www.Ralphs.com, click on Community Contribution, Click on Participant, enroll your information, including our charity number -81963 and you're done-now sit back and shop for EB!
We are truly in a race against time for the lives of many EB children. The more we raise, the faster the research, the more lives we save. Your gift will bring us another step closer to the miracle of healthy lives for EB children. The EBMRF is unique in that we pay no salaries. All work, including executive, legal, accounting, development and administrative, is done on a volunteer basis. Because we have other sources to cover our minimal operating costs, 100% of all funds received through the Internet will be directed to the research program. I have provided the link below if you want to volunteer your time or donate to the cause.
Thanks for helping! Continue to Pay It Forward...In the words of John Lennon...you may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day that you will join us,... and the world will live as one!
