| This little darling is the beginning of the precious moments for me. One day, when I was under extrodinary stress and personal loss, my 16-year old daughter walked into my office and presented me with the Desserts is Stressed Spelled Backwards Precious Moments. I was so deeply touched not only by the kindness and sensitivity of my dear daughter, but it was a wake up call for me. I had been so absorbed in the stress that I was missing the beautiful and precious moments God intended me to have with my family. My daughter's actions were an extension of the love in our home. Both my son and husband, although not the figurine giving type, are a part of this love and joy we share in our home and I was thankful my daughter brought this reminder in such a tangible way. After praying about this and giving all over the the Lord, I decided to buy precious moments to give to the elderly people I work with in my job so that I could share this joy with them. Too long of a story, but the Lord blessed me in countless ways and provided a way for me to make some of these wonderful figurines available to pass along to others as a gentle reminder that life is fragile and we need to cherish each moment and each memory. My little desserts precious moments sits on my desk and there is not a day goes by I don't look at it and smile! Thank You Lord for blessing me with eyes to see. Yesterday is gone; Tomorrow may not come; But Today...I have today to love, listen, care and experience all the joy and goodness You have for me. May Your precious moments abound in my heart, my family and in this world!! ~ Jeanine M Weintz |
