The Congressman opposed the Aldrich Plan of 1912 and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 transferring Constitutional Congressional power to the private stockholders of the Federal Reserve Banks - a Banker's Cartel. His books;

He was one of a few US Representatives and Senators to see through the designed complexities of the Federal Reserve Act (transferring ownership of the government's money to private owners) introduced hours before Christmas recess and without committee debate or hearings - he and every other Representative and Senator that voted against it were not re-elected, amidst unheard cries of election manipulation with the never-before-seen infusion of large amounts of cash into the campaigns against them (care to guess where that cash came from?) - a thing we take as commonplace today, but few if any, claim that such contributes to our good governance. Warning: if you are easily upset, or prefer the bliss of not knowing, or "can't handle the truth" - do not read his books! What is found in these books IS disturbing. (can't say i didn't warn ya)
I have a weakness for books, good books - books that expand one's knowledge, that enlighten and inform.
I don't care for the practice of those who censor their thoughts and opinions with a politically correct agenda - 'tis not honest.
Any, whose character is marked by every act which may define a Tyranny, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people, or have any kind of authority whatsoever.
Americans for Fair Taxation/FairTax.org is a research-based organization. Over the course of more than a decade, the
organization has invested millions of dollars in fundamental tax research. Some of this
investment went into polling the American public on the nature of taxes they find the least
offensive and intrusive. Much of the balance of this investment went into studies by some of the
nation’s top economists to ensure such a system can work and to model how it does work. From
the early work, FairTax.org drafted its legislation, H.R.25
to learn more about H.R.25 & S.1025 (The FairTax Act of 2007):
It may be amusing to some that with all of the brilliant minds behind the FairTax and all of the
effort put into studying the issue, FairTax.org ended up in the same place as did our Founding
Fathers. From their study of history, these men (without the benefit of computers or advanced
degrees in economics) determined to build a tax system that had at its base these never-changing
fundamentals of taxation:
• Only people pay taxes.
• Consumption taxes are the oldest form of taxation for many good reasons.
• Consumption tax rates are self-limiting.
• Consumption taxes, throughout history, have enhanced civil liberties and more.
• Direct taxes (income taxes* / poll taxes / head taxes), throughout history, have been the tools
of tyranny.
• Uniformity of taxation wards off special interest manipulation.
*IMO, another benefit of the passage of The FairTax Act would be that federal employees with assault weapons and sniper rifles would not feel compelled to put bullets into American Citizens who know the Law and the Constitution...
