 Welcome
to the artwork of contemporary artist A. Schwarz. If you have any

About My Art
I
work with a variety of materials and supports to create both whimsical
animal art and abstract nature paintings. I also enjoy working
with a paper mache composition to make sculptures. Of
late I have found myself altering my approach to art in that I have
moved towards a more receptive and open experience of the creative
process. This has found me making art in a more intuitive and
flowing manner with little idea of what form the final image will
take. I have noticed that with this change in my art making
nature is
now occupying a larger prescence in my paintings. As always,
a great deal of my inspiration comes from animals. I am drawn to
their innocence and natural ability to live in the present moment. My
Collie dog and orange cat share these attributes with me on a daily
basis. I am also influenced by naive and primitive art, Mexican
folk art, and illustration. My
paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, Europe and the
United States.
