About the Artist: Steven Leary is a native Texan. He was born in Bellaire, Texas (a suburb of Houston) and raised in Victoria, TX. He showed an early talent for art, winning competitions in school. He attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and the University of North Texas in Denton receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Before graduation, he participated in a two man show at the University of North Texas with a fellow student. He has shown his work in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Tx. He currently lives in Kerrville, Tx with his wife and two cats. He is an animal lover and has enjoyed great friendships with many dogs, cats and a couple of guinea pigs. He has donated his work to the local Humane Society to benefit the animals in the shelter there.

Steve creates most of his work with pencil, colored pencils, and ink although he often enjoys experimenting with new methods and has worked in just about every kind of media including the computer.
