I think I got my first Breyer horse when I was about 7 and it was love at first sight!  But, of course, you grow up and put away these things of your childhood.  A few years ago I became disabled and could no longer pursue many of the activities, hobbies and interests I previously had.  And then I rediscovered my "first love" - Model Horses.  It was a very happy reunion!

First and foremost, I'm a collector so I try to represent the horses I sell as accurately as I can, through my descriptions and photos, so my potential buyers know what they're getting, just as I want to know when I'm buying a horse for me. Sometimes being so detailed about a horse's condition is actually to my disadvantage because I do try to list every speck I can find that I think is important for a buyer to know. (I've sold some horses that weren't what you'd describe as mint, listing every little flaw, and the seller has come back and said the horse was so much better than they expected from my discription -- it's really important to me to be honest and ethical, especially because I love this hobby.) None of us like unpleasant surprises and I've gotten plenty of them: rubs the size of nickels on the side the seller didn't photograph, badly repaired broken legs that weren't mentioned in the listing, and so on -- I bet we all have our stories we could tell. If I think a horse is that bad, and I'm pretty picky, it goes right to the body box and will go up as part of a body lot or I'll use it for CM work.  I am always trying to get the best horses I can and then only sell the best of them. Sometimes that's easier than others!   Occasionally something special that has seen better days will arrive and then I'll try to find him or her a home -- I'm a firm believer in Breyer rescue -- finding good homes for pre-loved horses when there's something special about them. Some of the favorites in my own collection are also some of the rattiest horses you're likely ever to see, but there was just something about them that connected with me.

But I also have a return policy because I don't want anyone stuck with a horse they're disappointed with. In the year or so I've been selling, I've had three returns and no negative feedback. My buyers are important to me and I want them to be happy with their choice to buy from me and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.  Some of my now very dear friends are the result of my sales and the casual chit chat that sometimes goes back and forth when you've sold a horse to someone and are finalizing the details.

I bless the day I discovered eBay.  It has given me friends and community and a sense of purpose while dealing with an illness that has made me feel that I wasn't much good for anything at all.  So I feel I owe my eBay community the best that I have and am and will always make every effort to live up to that!  Thanks for your interest!
