Hi there, my name is Maria and  I would like to introduce myself as the StarMaker, this all came about when I decided to change my career from working in a Special Needs School where I was restricted to the Creativity of the Curriculum.  I became an Artist producing Glow in the Dark Posters as well as becoming a creative design consultant for Special Needs Sensory Rooms. Both of which I felt went hand in hand. I have had the honour of working with numerous charities designing sensory ceilings and supplying my own unique brand of Glow in the Dark Posters. Why have I travelled down this route: I am a mother with 5 children, my eldest son was born in 1981 but due to medical negligence was left with disabilities. This opened a whole new world for me, as I have seen lack of support, I have felt the isolation and the pain of my son trying to fit into this world. and I have spent my entire life caring and wanting to give help and support to other Families. I was told my son would never be independent and yet today with the love, support and belief in him, he now DRIVES, Has his own Flat and has grown into the most handsome of Men. It has been hard work, lots of tears, frustration and fighting. Being 6'10 when he loses the plot you have 2 options run or Hug him....... Over the years I have learnt what works and how I can create needful things on a budget for all the Special children in my life.

I have travelled all over the country creating Star Ceilings in children's bedrooms and have produced Hundreds of posters for children especially in the 3rd world. Working as a Pro Fx Artist I have the same asperations as Glomania and  hope that one day my dreams will be accomplished. A dream where every child can have their own little piece of Heaven.

I produce Star Ceilings that are invisible during the day and that MAGICALLY appear when the lights go out. Check out some of my images and judge for your self.
