In response to my one complaint I will outline the problem here:

 In October of 2003 I sold a pair of pedels, an awesome pair at that. The same make/model Lance Armstrong insisted on using for years, the Shimano Dura-Ace 7401 in flawless, unused condition. They sold for $150.00. The buyer, Geeeoff, paid immediately then just as fast  wanted his money back. He said his girlfriend just walked in the door with another pair of the same pedel and now he has two pair and does not need the pair he bought from me first, thus wants a full refund or to sell to the third place bidder and return him $50.00. He went on to say that the second place bidder did not exist and it was me posing as him in order to rip him off, he said he felt ripped off and then asked for some honesty from me on the whole matter. After I ran a "second chance offer" to the second place bidder, who had moved on and declined the offer, at Geeeoff' request, I contacted  the third highest bidder. We discussed shipping the pedels to him as Geeeoff wanted, and I shipped.  Then I got more email from Geeoff, 17 emails in all, towards the end his complaints over every little thing got thick, including money back or negative feedback. I refussed to let him trample my sale in total as he had wished. I feel his complaint reveals his lack of understanding of the eBay contract, and his willingness to dishonor his contract. And about that third highest bidder thing, well, "Geeeoff", and that third highest bidder,  eBay member "Ronnie", both sent me virus emails in August of 2004(Geeeoff on 8/24/04 and Ronnie on 8/28/04). Yes ten months after all this took place in the fall of 2003. Now with the proper authorities made aware of this, they are both eBay members still. I would also point out that Geeeoff' feedback later reveiled he bought a later model of the same pedel he bought from me later that same day. He did not tell me about that, he told me the girlfriend story, would you believe the girlfriend story? and what place does it have in an ebay contract? I kept Geeeoff' money, I would do it again, he is ill willed, I am just trying to sell a pair of pedels.

To address Geeeoff' complaint direct, I never offered him a refund. What I did do was try to work with the third place bidder, Ronnie, to give Geeeoff a break. Since Geeeoff was going to be out $50.00 based on what Ronnie' maximum bid was, $100.00, I suggested to Ronnie that he and I split half of Geeeoff' loses. Ronnie and I would pay $12.50 each so Geeeoff would only be out half of his lose. I will admit that one of the reasons I made this offer was to test Ronnie (and Geeeoff) because I felt they were working together. The situation with virus emails from each of them proves it. They should both be banned from eBay. However, Ronnie said no to my offer, which was dumb, they would have fooled me if he just said yes. Well, Geeeoff got wind of this from Ronnie and made it his sole issue. He said that he "absolutly" expected me to pay him $12.50 or my "imaculate reputation" would be ruined. I knew these two were dirty by this point and told Geeeoff no and that my offer was between Ronnie and I and was never extended to him. You might think I should have paid him the $12.50 to avoid this, but I can't see letting him black mail my reputation for something he is not owed. So I decided to take his best shot. I believe there are bad apples in every barrel, it can't be avoided, so why get pushed around when you know you're dealing with one.

To me the real sad thing in this whole situation is the extent to which eBay leaves us all hanging in situations like this. eBay makes billions of dollars, BILLIONS!!, yet leaves us to work with nothing but a program at all times, costing them virtually nothing. I love eBay, but when things go bad, you're on your own......
