Thanks for your interest in my auctions. As you can tell, vintage jewelry is my passion and SARAH COVENTRY is my main focus although I may have other things that I have picked up in my travels. I love the thrill of the hunt, estate sales, auctions, garage sales, thrift shops, flea markets, all of the good places! I wish my real job didn't take so much time away from my fun things!
I worked for Sarah from 1969 through the early 80's, although getting paid to eat and talk isn't really work to me!! Part of that time, I was a manager with them, so I got to hire other gals to eat and talk with me!! I accumulated a whole lot of jewelry then and part of what I offer is from my personal collection. I have also accumulated many duplicates from lots that I have bought and I will offer those. I also try to accumulate sets from individual pieces and offer them to you.
As a general rule, I offer only those pieces that are in excellent to mint condition. Occasionally I will put together a lot of other pieces and state it as "finish issues, misfits, singles, or whatever". I try to be very honest with my auctions and the quality of the pieces I sell. I get very upset when I pay good money for a piece and get it in less than perfect condition and I won't knowingly do that to you, although sometimes the old eyes miss something. If you do find a problem, please let me know and we will work it out. I'm fair with my shipping costs, they are a necessary expense-not another way to make money without having to pay fees on it! I try to ship within 48 hours-when we buy our pretties we want them right now!!
My kids were just here and proclaimed that I needed to get rid of "stuff" They don't understand, we need "stuff." But admittedly, I do have a lot of "stuff", so you may be seeing some things other than jewelry listed.
I am not trying to get rich off my auctions. I am just having fun with it and trying to make my hobby self-supporting. I made many friends in my selling days with Sarah, and I am making many more with this.
So check out what I have listed today, if you don't see something you have to have....check back, I am listing new items all the time.
All of my jewelry is vintage, most have been worn and loved-- some more than others. I try to be honest with my listings and how they rate as follows considering that they are 25-50 years old or evenolder:
Excellent--Showing no evidence of wear or aging.
Excellent Vintage--very slight wear--appropriate for its age.
Very Good--Minor flaws or wear, still very wearable as is.
Good Vintage--have natural wear/aging/enamel loss/stones dull etc. will be listed as such.
These are just my own opinions as an "old jewelry lover".
