One of the things I love doing is creating miniature buildings.
My very own design. I build miniature barns, outhouses, potting sheds, and tool sheds and many others. Built to last for many years.
I have made and sold doll houses for the last 25 years. About 6 years ago, I started using the old barn wood, my dad has collected, and started making my buildings. My task is to make them so they will last for many years.
Since moving from San Diego, CA, to Fort Jones, CA, I sell my miniatures at craft fairs.
This year I started selling acorns, that I collect on our property in Fort Jones, and also huge pine cones.
I also, love barn owls and have designed a beautiful owl house that I sell. Always hoping more people will buy them, to help the owls. They are terrible nest makers, and look for old buildings and barns to lay their eggs and raise their young. Of course the places they can live are getting smaller. They need our help.
Well, in trying to help owls and raise awareness of their plight, I discovered many cat lovers needed houses for their kitties. So, I build kitty houses also. The owl houses have all the hardware, so the house is ready to put in a tree, very easy to do. The kitty house is the same building without the hardware and hooks. They are both so cute. I have shown a picture of my owl house,covered in snow.
Here is Angus McDuff. He eats snow, loves snow, but lives in a warm house.
Now, I am getting ready for business, cutting wood, and sanding and working on the buildings I will be selling at Craft Fairs soon.
We are cleaning out our attic and will be selling many of my grandmother's things before summer. So, be sure and keep me on your favorite list and check in often.
