Dear Customer,
You can trust SuizoScore Soundtrack Store!
We have a longstanding experience in selling rare and out of print soundtrack albums, mostly on compact disc. And yet, our knowledge is still growing with every day we’re in business.
The year 2007 has become a golden one for any soundtrack buffs. Never before, there have been so many exciting releases of classic film music (“Alien”, “The Wind And The Lion” or all those incredible Morricone albums releases by GDM). It’s amazing, that’s for sure. And, it still remains a vast field with many, many little known or mostly forgotten gems that cry out for re-discovery. And that’s were we step in, finding those almost forgotten items and giving them a place in our store.
Our speciality is offering soundtracks on compact disc that have been released in the late 80’s and the ealy 90’s. Those releases are getting rarer and rarer with every year passing by. Of course we also carry newer titles in our store. At the beginning of our niche activity on Ebay we had about 50 titles for sale. Now, there are almost 300 listed in our store.
We are exclusively dealing with legitimate releases and we have world wide connections to various sources where we can acquire those items. If you are looking for something special that is almost impossible to find on the soundtrack market, there is a good chance we can get it for you at a competitive price!
Item’s description and grading
From our experience we know that collectors of film music care to get as much information as possible about an item that is for sale. So we list the track titles, the artists, the label and its number. If possible, we also give a brief description of the contents, and we note if the item is out of print, part of a limited release or if there is something else of special interest for our customers.
We understand that any collector of film music - or, for that matter, whatever field she/he is active in - wants the item to be in the best possible condition. Unless it’s new and in mint condition, this is not always a sure thing. That’s why we put our greatest efforts in describing any item as detailed as possible. Therefore we use the common grading standard for records which can also be applied for compact discs.
We look at everything about an item, and we do it under a strong light. About compact discs, we grade its surfaces, the playing and the label side. We grade the inserts (booklet, back inlay card) and the jewel case. If it’s a digipack edition, we grade it that as well. Then, based on our overall impression, we give it a grade based on the following criteria:
- Sealed (S) The item is new and unopened, i. e. still sealed in its original factory shrink wrap, sometimes even with the seal sticker within. In Europe, CD are often manufactured unsealed and sold that way. However, some retailers may reseal them. So, from time to time, we have resealed items in our store as well. But in any case, we do not reseal them ourselves. When we are selling a sealed CD, we call it “new”. There is often some sort of confusion among collectors about the meaning “Mint”.
- Mint (M) The item is absolutely perfect in every way (=undamaged as if freshly minted), certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed, the latter case would be explicitly noted in our description.
- Near Mint (NM or M-) A nearly perfect item, implying that very often no item is ever truly perfect.
- Very Good Plus (VG+) A Very Good Plus item will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
- Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in a VG+ item will be more pronounced in a VG disc.
- Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Good does not mean Bad! A CD in Good or Good Plus condition can be put into a player and will play through without skipping. If it’s a record it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.
- Poor (P), Fair (F) The lowest grading. So, we simply deceided not to buy and resell anything that is in poor or fair condition.
