 Though I am an electrician by trade, I have been around antiques, my whole life. I am the son of 45 year antique dealer in the Rocky Mountain Area and sometimes, across the World ,"pre-internet". His early antique days,started with early American furniture and morphed over the years towards American Pop Culture. He is gone, but he has left me with, ton's of memories of "cool,and unique stuff".   I was very fortunate to have travelled to almost all the lower 48 state's "buying and selling". We had spent countless hours on the backroads and byway's "with our eye's peeled"  for the next possible treasure (way before Ebay!) The most important thing that I learned from Dad, is,  to deal with people, with honesty and integrety. The "best deal" is when both parties walk away with a smile and know that a good or great deal has just happened, for both parties involved. My Dad, didn't like Ebay. He appreciated the eye to eye, handshake, kind of deal.   Because I am mostly an electrician, not all things that I have interest in and deal with are antique or collectible's.  I try to start all the auctions at a minimum and with no reserve , depending on how much I am willing to lose.
