Hi!
I'm glad you decided to visit and let me tell you about myself.
My husband and I are semi-retired, and have begun to "down-size". We have been collection all kinds of stuff over the years, and now are looking to find new homes for these treasures. So I recently began selling items on ebay, and have been having a wonderful time!
In addition to the items I auction here on Ebay, I maintain an on-line store, Sunflower Gifts and Collectibles, at cyberattic.com. CLICK HERE to go to my home-page there and view my catalog of items.
We do not smoke and do not allow smoking in our home. Our pets are not allowed in the "collectibles room" / mini-museum / mini-art gallery that we had set up. So everything that we offer should be free of smoke odors. If we bought something at an estate sale or auction, of course we had no control over the previous environment, so it is, at least in theory, possible that one or two items might still retain something from its prior home. But if that is the case, my husband's bloodhound nose usually detects it, and I will mention it in the listing.
Everything that I sell is well and thoroughly packaged for shipping. However, I do understand that it can be a little "rough" out there, and I have no control over how a package is handled between my home and yours. Because of this, I almost always require shipping insurance on every item I sell. If you are absolutely positive that you do not want insurance, just let me know before you check out. I will take it off the invoice. But be aware that if you refuse insurance, I will not refund any mony for something that is lost or damaged in shipment.
I do not personally accept credit cards, although you can use them at PayPal, nor do I accept personal checks. I used to accept money orders and cashiers checks, but not any longer. More and more fake ones are being made now that self-publishing software and printing technology is so sophisticated and inexpensive. So at this time I only accept PayPal. Sorry!
As for shipping costs, I try to break even on that, without squeezing an extra dollar or two profit from you. In most cases, I let ebay's shipping calculator figure up the shipping, and I have it set to add about $2.00 to the actual shipping cost, which covers my packaging materials, tape, printer cartridges and paper for the labels, gas to drive to the Post Office, and so forth. (Yes, I could just put the packages in my mailbox for the mailman to pick up, but I just never did trust that method! Too easy for somebody to see the red flag and get nosy about what I am sending out, and snitch the box or package for themselves.)
As far as returns and refunds are concerned, I will gladly accept an item for return if it was not as described. I try to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions, and to include as many pictures as reasonable for the item. So there shouldn't be any problem. But if there is, just let me know. E-mail me, tell me the problem, and we'll work together to fix it to your satisfaction. (As I mentioned above), items that were damaged in transit are not my responsiblity; if you bought the insurance, then you would need to file a claim with the carrier for that. See the individual listings for more specific information on returns and refunds.
