Sunflower Gallery is operated by Mark Shimkus of Overland Park, Kansas. Mark
has been a avid collector of Asian items for the last 15 years. He is frequently
asked to advise local estates on Asian items. He has also been a longtime exhibitor at the
Kansas City/Overland Park Convention Center Antique Show, which is the area's finest show.
Mark was the contributing advisor
of the recently published Antiquing for Dummies book on the Imari, Arita, Ivory, Cloisonne, & Rose Medallion chapters
The Gallery collection will be shown at the 2008 Overland Park Merchandise Mart Shows,
115th & Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas.
