ALERT ALERT ALERT -- Due to problems with International Orders - we will be discontinuing most of our International Sales. Many International buyers have been dealing with us for a long time, and we will continue to work with existing clients in this area. International orders will cost more to ship, all orders will require insurance, and we will not reduce our shipping charges, as they are to cover all of our costs and risks of selling internationally. The largest problem that we are seeing is that most items arrive to their destination quickly, but occasionally they take longer. buyers have been unwilling to wait the 30 days we have requested before claiming lost goods, for which we cannot be reimbursed by postal authorities. Buyers have also declined to check with their local postal authorities or customs office, resulting in returned goods for which we must pay return postage and fees. We are sorry that we must change this policy, but the problems associated with a relatively small percentage of international buyers, are very costly to us.

We look forward to working with you and your projects, we have spent quite a bit of time addressing common questions, yet it seems as though no one actually reads this page -- please check for information that answers your questions: Most commonly, shipping time, do we have swatches, and will we combine shipping.....We ship within seven days of receiving CLEAR payment, we usually ship the same day, but sometimes we are not able to do so, and will always ship within the seven day period. At some point, your package is driven to the post office, by us, and carried into the post office in very large bags. Each package is then handed personally to our mailclerk, who smiles at us from the counter. Your package does not sit on our curb, or in our mailbox. Your package does not sit in the post office mailbox, or the curb drop off. At the point that our postal clerk takes your package out of our hands, the delivery time is also, OUT OF OUR HANDS. Below, you will see a summary of the US Postal Service Guidelines for mail delivery. We are not employed by the post office,nor by the United Parcel Service. Should your package indicate that it was delivered by the USPS or UPS delivery confirmation and tracking service, then you must make a claim at the Post Office or UPS if you have not received it, as this will most often involve a theft complaint. Theft of mail is a FEDERAL CRIME, and should be reported by the buyer, directly to postal authorities. If you purchased insurance for your package, you will need to contact us as well, as we will need to file an insurance claim, as the shipper. . Larger packages are shipped via UPS - United Parcel Service - again, your packages are handed directly to our UPS driver, who is very nice, and we have known for a long time. Our UPS driver puts your packages into his truck while we watch and chat. At that time, UPS has taken over the delivery of your package. UPS has more specific guarantee periods and more commonly parcels are insured. We do not ship any items to P O Boxes via UPS, and we do not ship any 1, 2, or 3 yard orders via UPS. Please be aware that we receive NO LESS THAN 600 emails EVERY DAY, many are asking questions, for which information was transmitted separately. For example, we transmit the USPS delivery confirmation numbers va paypal and the usps directly. UPS delivery tracking numbers are transmitted by UPS directly. Updates as to "payment received" and "item shipped" ALWAYS generate an email with the date of activity, via ebay system. Please watch for these emails -- our ebay settings automatically generate this information for every single order, and shipment. . Please call us if you need help -- this is the most efficient way to reach us. We are in Pittsburgh, and our studio hours are M-F, 9-5, eastern time. If we are on another line, working with a customer in the studio, or if it is evening or weekend, you will get our voice mail. If we are in the studio in the evening or weekend, we will certainly pick up the phone to help you as well. We return all messages as soon as possible -- BUT -- PLEASE BE SURE TO LEAVE YOUR NAME AND YOUR PHONE NUMBER -- nearly half of our messages do not contain a phone number so that we can call back. We receive about 50 phone calls per day, so please try to leave name and number. . We really love our fabrics, and we have met so many wonderful and interesting people working with these fabrics. It is quite a lot of fun, and we enjoy working with everyone. IMPORTANT: E-checks -- your item will not be shipped until your funds transfer clears, and is credited to my paypal account. This will also apply to items paid by personal check/money order. the items will not be shipped until they clear. All items will ship within seven days of payment or check clearing. Most items ship the same day. While we make an effort ship all immediately, you need to be aware that circumstances could cause a delay, but they will all be shipped within seven days of the payment being received and clear.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES --
IF YOU RECEIVE AN ITEM, and it is the wrong item: Return to it to us immediately, with a note about the problem. If we have shipped you the wrong size/color, etc, you will receive an immediate refund, and reimbursement for your return costs.
IF YOU RECEIVE AN ITEM, and would like to exchange it for another color, please return it to us, with a note describing your need. Attach a swatch of the color you are trying to match, with additional description, and your name and phone number. We will call you immediately upon reciept of your return to let you know how we can best resolve the returns and exchanges. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND ARRANGING TO RECEIVE YOUR PACKAGE FROM YOUR COUNTRY'S CUSTOMS AND POSTAL DELIVERY SYSTEM ---
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: YOU are responsible for receiving your item. Once shipped, it leaves the USA, and is processed through CUSTOMS AT YOUR COUNTRY. It is no longer in MY hands, and is no longer in USA hands. If you owe a tax in order to receive your item, you are responsible for this. If you have not received your item, or receive a note from your postal/customs service, you will be responsible to arrange your pick up. IF YOU FAIL TO PICK UP YOUR ITEM, it MIGHT be returned to me by your country, and this can take 6 months, or longer --- Please be sure to take the appropiate steps to ensure that you receive delivery. ANY INTERNATIONAL PACAKAGES NOT RECEIVED, should first be inquired about, by the buyer, at the buyer's postal office, AND buyer's CUSTOMS office.

We are currently in the process of converting our website to new hosting with integrated payment and shipping data. The US Postal Service has instituted some changes in their tracking numbers: Delivery Confirmation Numbers no longer show the dates/locations of the packages live on the website. They will only show the tracking information after the delivery has been confirmed. It is our understanding that the post office is working to address these issues. We have been advised that priority mail normally takes two days, however, this is not guaranteed. The post office will investigate after ten days. For parcel post, first class, they allow 30 days. Insurance claims require a waiting period of 30 days. We will update this information as we become aware of changes and updates. All packages are mailed when payment clears - checks can take ten days for the funds to be released to us from the bank or paypal. If you have any questions, please call us at 412-782-5261. With our "soon to be live" new website, we will be featuring pictures of the many fantastic projects that our customers have made. Our new studio is currently been remodeled, and will be open for customers who wish to make an appointment to pick up a purchase, or to check our fabrics in person.
