I have been an attorney for 25 years.  I am also very creative and artistic.  God has blessed me with many talents.  Like all of you, I have had my fair share of challenges but I can not complain.  Through adversity our character develops strength and perseverance.

 At this point in my life as a result of a serious life threatening injury in 2005 and my belief that the Lord was wanting me to use my talents differently, I truly am on a "Road Less Traveled". The more I work on His projects and directions, I stay active, a huge blessing, because it helps divert my mental energies off my serious physical, 24/7 pain.

Presently I am active with Hope Gems, a store, ministry and legacy all in one. The goal is to help persecuted Christians in countries outside the US obtain meaningful employment and careers. The focus of the ministry is three countries: China, India and Kenya. My hope is training them to make jewelry or jewelry findings will give them meaningful jobs. I design for the store. I am also the designer for the "Debbay" line of jewelry. (Do you dream new jewelry designs?  I do!)  I hope in the next months to focus on Christian themes. Locally my designs are well received among groups and individuals.

Hope Gems has allowed me to meet some wonderful people.  My goal is for you to have an enjoyable shopping experience, get the highest quality at a reasonable price and hopefully develop long term business relationships. Presently we have the highest quality of leather cords in various colors on eBay.  How can I say that with other sellers?  As of this writing Hope Gems is the only store that sell leather cord made of cowhide.  Others sell deerskin and oxen hide that they call "quality" leather cord.  Still others do not disclose what kind of animal hides are used.  The lawyer in me says that if it was cowhide they would be disclosing this.  Since I negotiate and pay my own bills, trust me, cowhide is much more expensive than deerskin or oxen hide.

I also offer charms and findings made by former Chairman Mao Christian Chinese dissidents.  I can never thank the Lord enough for allowing me to cross paths with them!  I am humbled by their prayers of these true and tried Christian saints.  Hopefully in the future I will be working on more projects with them.  One goal is in the next year to travel to China and fellowship with them.  Another goal is to help their business expand into the United States, Europe and outside China.  In the Chinese marketplace these precious people have lost millions of dollars by copycat thieves who violate their copyrights.  They can release a new design within the Chinese marketplace and within two weeks a counterfeiter will be reproducing their design with inferior materials and leaving these precious people competing against themselves.  All I have to say to any thief of one of the Christian Chinese dissidents's design that I have obtained a copyright in the United States is that I will not stop until you are punished: having to pay damages and hopefully putting you out of business!  I also encourage anyone thinking of stealing one of my designs that has a copyright to remember this saying:  HELL HATH NO FURRY LIKE A FEMALE LAWYER SCORNED.
