I am truly passionate about home design. At the age of five I asked my parents to have my
bedroom painted "raspberry" red. And at fourteen I bought my first antique chairs (I still
have them - many, many years later!). Categorization is not my thing, but when asked, I
describe my style as classic with a modern twist.
Over the years many clients, both decorators and home owners, have asked me to handpick
Swedish Antiques for various design projects. They know that I am painfully picky and good
at finding attractive pieces for reasonable prices. They also know that I have an
excellent network of high-level antique experts and dealers to tap into. People I have
known for a long time and trust.
In my E-bay store - Swedish Fine Living - I hope to offer what I consider to be real
treasures from Sweden. They can be from the 18th century, the 19th century, or they can be
contemporary. They can be Gustavian, Empire, Swedish Biedermeier, Art Deco, or a new
unique design. I never know what is going to catch my eye. The objects are not always
necessarily from Sweden (Swedes have always been an international crowd) - but they can
always be found in nice Swedish homes.
I pay a lot of attention to form, design, and quality and I only sell things that I want
in my own house. My goal is to bring long-term beauty and value to a home. And that the
selected pieces will be treasured for generations to come.
I find my inventory mainly on trips to my native Sweden. I look under every rock to find
that unique item that I love and that I will have a very hard time departing from.
If you are looking for a specific piece of furniture I will be happy to help you find it.
I have a small but great team committed to excellent customer service. We work hard to
keep our customers happy. If you are not satisfied with a product - then you should feel
safe with our company's return policy.
