About Me............How does one sum that up ? I am about as complex as a double edged sword. lol. I am married for the last time after one too many Toads to a Wonderful Christian Man named Ed. We have a combination of 6 children, between us. A son , born to me that is 22, Twin daughters, 21 and our sweet Baby, 18, born to my husband, ( not BY my husband, lol, by his ex wife. lol ) and a 24 year old girl and 17 year old boy, who lost their Mom last year ( my best friend Ashley of over 20 years ) . So, they are now Ours to love on as well. The Biggest part of me is my relationship with my Savior, Jesus, who without , I would not have such and abundant and Blessed life. I was pretty lost and Messed up, before He took hold of it. I come from a very artistic Family, My Mom, is an oil Painter, and paints the most phenomenal loose paintings. ( I don't know how we are related, because my painting is so tight. lol ) Yet she paints from pictures and I paint from the pictures in my head. My Grandma was a gluer, you know, card making, sock snowmen, etc, and loved to glue stuff together, and did some pretty creative stuff. My great Grandmother was a linen Queen !! She tatted and embroidered and Quilted and appliquéd. And she was very, very neat and precise. I am a combination of all three. My heart is in painting, yet I love to sew. And some days, there is no inspiration to pull out of my hat, so do you know what I do ? Yep, I get out the glue gun and the Elmer's and let life lead where it may. It is never the destination, but every stop along the way. My other passion, besides, My God, My Family and my Painting, is Children's Ministry. I am called especially to infants and toddlers. That time is so precious, more than most know. The first twenty four months of life establish how the next seventy or so will go. If say, you weren't given enough affection, then you will spend your life seeking to be loved, even, unfortunately in all the wrong places. If you were forced to measure up and go at a pace that wasn't yours, then you will go through life trying to measure up. Lets not ever do that to our children. Each and every one is So perfect in his or her own way. ( Can you tell, this is my passion ? ) Sorry for the lecture, but this is a little about Me. I am a freelance artist, painting with different mediums for the past 17 years. I started tole painting in the late 1980's. Which led to statuary plaster, marbleizing and fauxing, which led to a home interior and residential Faux finishing business. Happily, I find myself back tole painting on smaller vintage, loved on pieces. I have two very spoiled Chihuahua's that allow us to share their home. I must say that these are my golden years. I have been selling on eBay for one year under this same name and have over 400 items sold with 100% positive feedback, so your happiness, is my happiness. Thanks so much for stopping in.
