Hello there, thanks so much for taking the time to view my itemsand read about "me"! 

I've been sewing and crafting things for 50 years now and have been selling my handmade items since high school.  My three sons have all left the nest and I now have more time and a pent-up desire to make "girly" things!

You'll find that the majority of the items that I'm offering are either constructed with vintage materials or with my very favorite fabrics on ebay which come from my dear friend at urbangardens.  Vintage fabrics are fun..but there always seems to be a little problem here or there with them...just because they're old..like me.  Newer reproduction fabrics are much easier to use and there is definately a difference in the quality you'll find.  I have found that urbangarden's fabrics are what I consider to be the BEST quality for my needs. When you work with fabrics every single day as I do..you come to appreciate the weave, the texture, the straightness of the print..the colors, the hand or softness of the fabrics.  When you're working with quality materials..it's always easier and much more enjoyable to make a quality item.

vintage trims are impossible to beat..they add softness and texture to an item and add so much and I try to use those as much as possible..again..hard to find and quite expensive..but the right ones are worth every penny!

So..maybe and hopefully you'll like what I make..I know that a lot of you sew yourselves..so please do yourself a favor and buy nice fabrics for your creations..you WILL notice and appreciate the difference.

A note about my pricing...

I've "been around the block" when it comes to selling handmade items..it's pretty much a given that you're not going to get rich doing this.  Honestly, I know for a fact that I'd make more money making lattes at one of the local coffee shops.  I try to price my things so that I recoup my expenses and hopefully make a few bucks/hr...It doesn't always work out that way, but I'm certainly not out to gouge anyone..we do this because we love doing it and hopefully  buyers will appreciate how special it is to have something that is unique and truly hand-crafted.

A note on custom orders..as much as I'd love to try and please everyone, I've found from past experience that's it's too difficult to try and design something back and forth thru emails..so I have decided that I will not do custom orders.  Thank you for understanding.

I do welcome your suggestions and ideas..trying to come up with new ideas is similar to "what should we have for dinner tonite??"  So, if there's anything you'd like to see..please let me know!

You might notice that I went back to one of my old ebay names..after being on a trip and logging onto our laptop at wireless hotels, it was quite a chore to log on with my loft name..so nothing has changed..just back to an easier name!
