Tom & I have lived in the Frederick, Maryland area for the last fifteen years. We were dog breeders (Border Terriers) and we were into the dog show scene for over 14 years. Five years ago, we decided to start a family of our own and take a rest from puppies, breeding and competition.
About 6 years ago, I had to leave my job and career as a Software Developer/Project Manager due to severe health issues (brain tumor, among others).
Since I've been an eBayer on and off since 2000, and I love being on-line and cruising through eBay, I decided to try to sell things through eBay. I am starting with stuff that we no longer use/need (you know, the one year rule...) and I am also putting up some of my finds from yard sales.
At this point, things are extremely tight, so this endeavor will be used to help us stay in our house (we are in danger of foreclosure), keep the lights on, clothing for our daughter and food on the table.
I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I believe I was meant to start a family and learn to ask and accept help from others (and a good dose of humility ....smile). I've always been VERY independent and extremely proud of that trait, it's taken years but I think I have finally grown up.
