ABOUT ME

A lot of people ask me what books, movies, art, music, etc that I would recommend so I thought I would create a little A to Z of things you simply cannot miss-- enjoy! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.) Can you make me an item with an image of my choice?

Answer: After much deliberation, I have decided not to resume my custom service for now. This is my last year of graduate school and customs simply take me too much time and I do not want to double my price for the service. I will likely resume my custom work in the Summer of 2008. Sorry for any inconveinance this is causing!

2.) How fast will I receive my item?

Answer: I ship my items out first class mail within approximately 2-3 days of receiving payment. I handmake each item and it takes at least 10 hours for the final coating on the necklace to "cure" so if you expect immediate shipment, I cannot guarantee it. I also cannot guarantee that you will recieve an item by a certain date unless you pay for express mailing overnight shipping. I can only promise good service on my end getting the item mailed out promptly to you. However, I cannot control the speed of the delivery once the post office gets the item. For U.S. customers, it usually takes anywhere from 3 to 5 days as I send everything 1st class mail-sometimes it takes longer-sometimes shorter-sometimes an item will come to you very quick. However, sometimes the post office is really slow, which can be really frustrating because I am not slow at sending my items. You can easily see through my feedback that shipping is something I always try to do very fast-even though the post office may be slow once the item leaves my hands. PLEASE, PLEASE be patient with the post office's speed of delivery and understand that it is not my fault if the post office is slow at delivery. For U.S. items mailed and paid for using paypal, a delivery confirmation number is always bought when I send an item out to you so your item can be tracked. However, this doesn't mean a tracking number will necessarily facilitate quick shipment by the U.S. Post office. Sometimes, delivery confirmation will only confirm how slow the post office is in its delivery-but it will prove when the item was mailed from my end and "confirm" the delivery once it does arrive-even if late. PLEASE do not leave negative or neutral feedback on me because of the post office's delivery speed, as this is something completely out of my control.

As for international shipping, I always mail items promptly using airmail letter post or/and the new international rate. Shipping times vary depending on which country the item is being sent to, possible custom holdups, and whether the U.S. is on a higher "terror alert" status, which usually holds up shipping times in some fashion. Again, I cannot guarantee a timeframe of when you will get an item. I can only promise that the item was sent promptly on my end. Please be patient! Please understand that I cannot control postal delivery once an item leaves my hands. I wish I could! I wish government services were always efficient and could be relied on 100%. The best I can do is for you is to be efficient and reliable myself. :-) PLEASE NOTE: I will no longer ship to ITALY or SPAIN. 12 out of the last 12 packages I sent there were not recieved and I have no faith in those postal systems to deliver my items. I am sorry for the inconveinance and apologize to those country's customers for the continuing problems. Anyone who purchases an item requiring shipment to Italy or Spain will be issued a refund as I refuse to ship to these two countries. : (

3.) What should I do if I have a question or concern?

Answer: PLEASE never leave negative or neutral feedback, because I will be able to resolve the issue and there is no need to resort to that measure. If you have an issue, please give me that opportunity to fix the problem, because I will not ignore you and will come up with the fairest remedy, whatever the problem may be. A replacement, full or partial refund, or other solution will be provided. So, please contact me if you do have an issue, and I will promptly address your issue!

4.) Why didn't you email me to let me know when you shipped my item?

Answer: If a buyer specifically asks me to email when the item has been shipped, I will go out of my way to let the buyer know. But, if I am not specifically asked, I usually do not send out a personal shipping notification. I sell about 15-20 items every day now and it gets hectic at times which does not facilitate a personal communication with each sale. When a buyer pays with paypal, Paypal or stamps.com should send a delivery confirmation tracking number automatically to you when I ship the item. However, their services don't always work in notification. Please realize that if you do not get confirmation of a specific shipping date, this does not mean I am ignoring you or failing to ship your item. I am not only a jewelry designer/maker but a graduate student as well so I don't always have the time (although sometimes I do and will then email) to send each buyer a shipping notification.

5.) How do you make your items?

Answer: I DIY(do it yourself) at least some aspect of every item I carry. As for necklaces/pendants, I handmake each necklace as it is ordered. I have ZERO of everything in stock-I originally make 1 of each item I carry to see how it looks and if that one is sold, I make them as they are ordered. As such, almost nothing is pre-made and I cannot simply grab a item and send it out within a moments notice (sorry). This is a handcrafted item made by myself and requires time and labor. My items may always not be machine perfect but my customer feedback should attest to their quality-and please keep in mind I don't ask a fortune for my work. I make a fair product at a fair price and purposely keep my costs low to keep the product as cheap as possible. (I would love to provide a better necklace component than a ballchain-most of my customers just switch them out once they get my pendants!) As for the pendant settings, I make the settings I use myself with a kiln, fire, tongs, slush metal, and my own molds. I then sand them and handpaint each one. Once I apply a graphic, I use a special sealant to ensure the image in the necklace is not damaged. This achieves a durable product. I then hand assemble the pendant, the jumpring, and ballchain, and hand apply each necklace to my handmade packaging. My items are not mass produced. I am not a studio or a company and I have never made a lot of any one design. You will not find my stuff at Hot Topic or through some large corporate company. As for my other products, at least one aspect of them all is handmade by myself- in design and always in assembly.

6.) How long do I have to pay for my item?

Answer: I am pretty flexible about when I receive payment as long as you communicate about when you will be paying and don't stand me up without a word. If you do need extra time to pay, I am a very understanding seller and will be patient with you, as long as you make it clear that you do intend to pay and that you have a plan for payment in the very near future. PLEASE be serious about your bids though. Selling on eBay is not free and if you don't pay, eBay will still charge me my seller fees, which means all non-paying bidders will have to be reported to eBay so that eBay will allow me to get my fees back. SO, PLEASE be serious and don't bid if you do not intend to pay. If you made a mistake in bidding, please let me know ASAP so I can try to correct things before ebay charges me for a sale that doesn't occur!
