Two Finger Knife, LLC Uncl Norm in his Sioux War Shirt At the age of 5, I began throwing knives into my bedroom hardwood floor and I have been hook on knives every since. At the age of 7, I smuggled a butcher knife in our family car seat springs, on a move from Idaho to Oregon. At 8 I took up flint knapping and putting handles on old knife blades. I completed my first custom knife in 1965 while in high school and in 1972 I taught knife making for 2 years at the University I was attending to help pay my way through school. In 1992 I forced myself onto Willow Bow Ranch in Riverton, Wyoming. There I meet Ed Fowler of Blade Magazine fame, who to this day, has been my personal mentor on forging high performance knife blades from 52100 bearing steel, and is still today a man I call Friend. In 1993 after working for Timberline Knives as V.P. of Sales and Marketing, I opened Two Finger Knife, LLC. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Our blades grace the pages of national cutlery magazines most every month. One of our Viking sword blades won best sword of show at the 2003 annual “Blade Show” in Atlanta Georgia. Today we are the largest MFG of finished Damascus steel blades of all types, in the world to my knowledge. We do not advertise as of yet, attend shows nor go for the “politics” of knife making. We pretty much stay to ourselves and mind our own bee’s wax, as Mom used to say. We forge blades from ½” in length to sword blades 48” in length. Finished swords using our blades have sold for over $10,000. We sell to some of the largest cutlery companies in the world, knife making supply houses, custom knife makers, and beginning knife makers all over the world, and in over 25 countries. No order is too small. We make every effort to treat all customers the same. Forging our World Famous Damascus Steel As of Jan. 1st 2007 we just finished moving into our new 8000 sq foot building on 2 acres, and we still have our original 2000 sq foot shop near my home. We now have some room to grow, and grow we shall. In the weeks and months ahead our fine customers will see many new and exciting additions to our ever-expanding offerings. Today we have 15 smiths and knife makers working to produce the finest USA forged Damascus steel finished blades possible, at the most competitive prices possible. We complete all steps from forging to final sharpening in house. We have 3 axis CNC machining capabilities, state of the art heat-treating facilities for high carbon steels, and a friendly staff. Knife making is my passion (along with my dear Wife and Family) and a hobby run amuck. I am looking forward to working with you on your many special projects in the months and years ahead. Nuf said!
