I am a collector/seller/trader, I do not like to limit myself to one specific
area, I try to stay very diverse, and this also helps life from getting boring.
I do like unusual items and occasionally I will purchase an item that I no
longer need or lose interest in and will resell it for someone else to enjoy.
I can truly state that the time I have been on Ebay has been a very pleasant one
and that I have met a lot of interesting people all over the world and I hope to
call them all friends. I can state the Ebay has really changed my life. This
hobby has almost turned into a business but for now it is a hobby because I
really enjoy the Internet and the items I sell and the people I meet.
My Interest
My interest really lies with Vintage Antique radios and Vintage test
equipment, they are fairly simple to work on and the people I have met in these
areas are some the best people in the world.
A word about my shipping charges and Returns
I try to keep my shipping charges at a minimal, but it is very hard to do.
It is a lot of work to find good boxes, and I do purchase them as
necessary, get bubble wrap and especially Styrofoam peanuts, which are not
cheap. I do not cut any corners in my packing; I ship items the way I expect
them to be shipped to me. I prefer UPS as my shipping means, I have never had a
problem with them, I have a couple of claims but they are straightened out in 10
days. If you prefer the USPS please ask for insurance, I have dealt with USPS a
couple of time also and it can takes months to straighten out a problem,
everything has to go to St. Louis to the claims office there. I normally charge
$2.00 to $3.00 extra to cover these expenses and the hours involved in getting
packing materials and packing but when shipping manuals and paper work I do not
charge any extra. On larger heavier items I may charge a little more as long as
there is no conflict with the purchaser but this is only to use heavier duty
boxes and more packing material and to insure the item make a safe trip, but I
still probably come out losing or breaking even but it is fun that keeps me
going. I really do not mind shipping overseas as long as my instructions
are followed. If I ever do misrepresent an item let me know and I will
gladly refund you your money back. Due to the age of the majority of the type of
equipment 20years or older that I sell there is always an outside chance to get
an item damaged, this is because with age some products change state,
unforeseeable wear, metals and plastics may become brittle, but I do the best
inspection I know how to do, I do not purchase junk to sell, only items that I
see as very useful and with plenty of life still available.
About negative feedback
Negative feedback should be everyone's undesirable taboo. I do go to great
lengths to do the best job I can to make sure that I represent the item the best
that I can; this is whatever research is necessary.
I use top quality Scanner and a High Quality Digital Camera (Nikon 950 -
its great). I (and I do have a partner - which I consider well versed and
very, very knowledgeable with the radios and test equipment, etc.) try to write
up all my descriptions as accurate as possible but remember we are all human
which makes us susceptible to errors. I have never intentionally made an error
but if I ever do please let me know because there are a lot of people out there
that know a lot more than I will ever know about these products. So please, if
you ever have a problem with my services contact me via email which I answer
everyday, we will work it out to your satisfaction Guaranteed. I am a very
patient person and understand when other people have problems also.
