How it began...

I have been buying and selling on eBay for quite a few years.  Until two years ago, I was mostly a buyer of cameras, toys and christmas gifts.  Then I started selling some movies we no longer watched, video games we no longer played, new items that weren't quite what we needed, etc. 

Then I purchased a Mary Kay Color Palette.  Cool.  I had wanted one for quite a while but couldn't justify paying retail price for it.  I finally had one at a great price!  I received it and was happy.  I thought about it awhile, and realized that I liked my smaller compact better for traveling.  So I listed my prized color palette for sale on eBay and made a $10.00 profit!  So I bid and won a few more new color palettes.  I did hours and hours of research and then purchased some cosmetics and then some skin care lots.  Finally, I opened a store to showcase my gradually growing inventory.  It's been a lot of fun and I am looking forward to growing my business and adding catagories as I go along.

It makes my day when I wrap an item and ship it off.  Not just because of the sale (I've already cheered about that by the time I am shipping, lol), but hoping that it will make that person happy when they open their package and see that I tried to help make their day nicer ~ even if just a little.

The Holiday Rambler we bought on eBay

Our largest purchase has been a motorhome purchased on eBay Motors!  We purchased it in April 2006 on our anniverysary!  That was quite exciting.  We were happy that the seller lowered the reserve price by $2000.00 near the end, and so it came in at our budget.  It turned out to be a great motorhome and we love it!  It pulls our boat over the mountains great too!

My family has been helping me with new items to sell.  I am just going to add different things as I discover them.  I would love to keep buying and selling for a long time.

The other day I read an eBay guide about scheduling your life and eBay. I also work and sometimes it's difficult to make the time to get my new inventory listed. It was great to read about someone doing the EXACT same things I was.  Their personal life, not just  eBay.  How we "scavenge" for things to sell.  How the hours can fly by while browsing and the housework can get behind.  How to stay organized.  It motivated me to do at least one extra chore a day and to write this about me page.  I spend a lot of time on eBay and yet it wasn't complete.  Now it is.
