Hi, my name is Tammy I am the owner of The Bargain Boutique. Its a resale consignment shop located in a small town. I opened my store in 1997 after thinking about it for 2 years then searching for a location which took another year. When I found one, I dove right in and made it happen. I started out very small, my store was only the size of my living room. I soon expanded,expanded again in 2 years,and again 2 years after that. Now have a shop 20 times bigger.
Originally I started my business to help the community. My home town that I grew up in had went from a busy, growing town to a ghost town. Buildings that were once filled with busy shops now set empty.
I've stuck it out and not only has my business helped people locally, its also brought traffic in from out of town. My shop gives the community a place to buy gently used merchandise at Bargain Prices!! They can also consign things to make money. I
didn't realize how many people do all there shopping right in town, especially the older generation. Who use to depend on getting all their goods locally because of the distance to the next town. A lot of my business is from people who don't have transportation to leave town to shop or just cant afford it.
I've lived here my whole life and I've seen a lot of businesses come and go that couldn't make it. I've been open for 12 years now and I'm proud to say Im still keeping my head above water and those empty buildings are slowly filling up with new shops.Ill try to keep a nice selection of things posted for all you
