Hi, I'm Rick NesSmith. I'm a native and resident of Jacksonville, Florida. I've been playing guitar and bass since I was in the ninth grade at fourteen. As with most of the guys in my neighborhood we were caught up in Beatlemania after the first Ed Sullivan Show performance. That started our first search for our first guitars. My first was a Stadium four pickup Japanese job that was impossible to play. But hey, what did I know. And it came with an amp! A five inch speaker with about one watt or something. The strings were probably a good half inch off the fret board. Bloody fingers!

    Anyway, I guess you could say I have been through many, many guitars since those days. I've had a '54 Esquire,  a '59 Esquire sunburst, early 60's 345 and 340, Martin 000-18 and many others. I was not smart enough to hold on to them of course. There was always another Les Paul or vintage amp calling to me and being a full time player I had to sell one to get another.      

     So, as you can see, most of my dealings on ebay will probably involve guitars. They are very dear to me. I love them. Though I'm getting up there in years my love for playing has not faded yet. I like to think that it keeps me young. Sort of like an old Twilight Zone episode where the guy stays young as long as he keeps playing his guitar.

My other passion is baseball. Nothing keeps childhood memories going like playing the game you loved so much as a kid. Baseball glove collecting has become my newest hobby. I can't get enough of finding a finely crafted vintage USA glove. There's no better vibe than to feel a ball sink into the sweet spot  of a good piece of old leather. I love it! 

     Anyway, as you can see by my feedback entries, I have always tried to take the high road in my ebay dealings. I really do hate a thief and I believe that's what someone who cheats another person out of their money and trust is - a thief. That's about all I can think of. So if you ever deal with me I hope this little profile has helped you to get to know me a bit and I hope you will feel at ease with talking or writing.
