Deb A.M. Allen the Artist. BA in Art 1975 L.I.U.

Art has always been my passion and I’ve followed that passion my entire life. I received a BA(Cum Laude) in art at Southampton LIU 1975. I’ve worked as a illustrator and fine artist self-employed and employed by corporations working with Disney, MGM and Radio City Music hall. I’ve taught art from K5 to high school level. I did honorable service for my country in the Army overseas for three years. Pop Surrealism is my passion now. I am painting ACEO's and having too much fun putting what ever pops into my head on those tiny canvas's. I love doing those visual puns working in the Pop Surrealist/outsider style. I am also a big fan of Artcars and painting Artcars. If I can get enough money saved for a new car I plan on painting another Artcar. Donations welcome! I’ve always been a big fan of comics too and cartoons. The older I get the more I realize that laugher is God's gift to us.
Q-tips used to paint clown

A note from Deb: I’ve been asked many times, “How do you paint such tiny paintings?” So here is my answer not with tiny brushes but with Q-tips, paper clips and very thin acrylic paint. The paint I use is almost a watercolor thin so I can do many layers of color and blend everything smoothly. Q-tips work great for this and there are no brushes to clean. It is even green I killed no animals to make my brushes. Also cotton and paper go back to the soil. All ACEO's I sell on Ebay are original paintings not prints.

We ship all my ACEO's three per envelope First Class mail using postage stamps from our stamp collection. We ship as soon as we get payment through Pay Pal. Shipping costs include handling, card sleeves, card protective folder and postage. Larger paintings are shipped with shipping labels from Pay Pal. THANK YOU!
