Winter is here and some areas are experiencing much colder temperatures.  Some plants/leaves will NOT survive the cold temperatures, so please take this into consideration, when buying my plants/leaves.  If it is freezing in your area, then please let me know, so I can include a heat pack.  Just do not want a disaster when you open your box.  I will not be responsible for damage due to weather or shipping.  If you feel I need to mark "HOLD AT THE POST OFFICE", please let me know and I will mark your box.  The heat packs are good for about 72 hours, beyond that, the plants are on their own!!

Remember I do ship during the winter months.  Heat packs are used and are included in the cost of shipping at NO charge to you.  Please be patience, as boxes will be shipped on a first pay basis.  If your or my temperatures are below 25 degrees at night, please do not bid.  I will not ship if your temperatures are below 25 degrees at night, unless the box is held at the post office for local pickup.  And even then, the plants/leaves might not make it with no damage.  Heat packs will freeze and be of no use for survival of the plants.  I will NOT be responsible for weather damage.  If your area is too cold, please let me know, so I can mark the box to be held at the post office for local pickup.

Due to the excessive cold temperatures we are experiencing in the north, I will not add plant auctions, until I feel it is safe to ship.  Living in the southern areas is nice, but to ship plants from the northern states is dangerous.  Our temperatures are NOT warm enough to ship for safe arrival.  Even with heat packs, below 25 degrees at night is risky!

Starting January 1, 2010, all leaf auctions will cost $9.50 for any amount purchased and shipped after this date.  The postal service are raising their rates and unfortunately we have to pass the cost onto our customers.  I have tried to keep the cost down on shipping, but postal rates and supplies force me to charge these cost.  If the auctions state $9 for shipping, expect to be charge for $9.50.  Heat packs are included in this cost at no charge to you. 

You may not realize the expenses for shipping - Ebay and Paypal fees, insulation, heat packs, printing and other supplies cost us.  Many times I lose money on shipping and supply cost.  We, sellers, make little or nothing on shipping cost.  Many of the boxes I use, I purchase.  The postal service offers boxes for free, but there are times I can not use them, as they are too small or too large, so I purchase boxes.  This is an additional expense I must add into the cost of shipping and handling.

TeazViolets Tea's Little Uno - My first chimera discovery!! Just to let you know a little about me.. I have been growing African Violets for some time.. started in 1974 with 3 greenhouses.. AV's and orchids.. had to take a short recess from the AV's and orchids as I was an single Mom.  Started back in AV's in 2003 and have never regretted it!!  I do not grow the violets in greenhouses, but in our home under lights and in natural light. I have over 1700 varieties and many you will see in the coming months.  Some are rare, some very vintage!  All my plants are grown for symmetry, so you can grow these babies to exhibit in your next club's violet show.  Please save my name to your favorites and keep checking back each week for new varieties at reasonable prices!!  To date I have almost 400 varieties of chimeras.  Yes they will be offered in the next few months.  Some not until the fall. All my violets are sprayed with Avid, Forbid, Pylon, Kelthane and Conserve.  Each pot contains Marathon, along with a light medium/soil for wicking.  Any plants that I purchased go immediately into isolation for 6 months or more.  During which time, they are sprayed every 2 weeks with Avid, Merit, Forbid and Conserve and repotted after two weeks with Marathon.  By the time 3 months has ended, they are dipped and placed on separate shelves from my collection and babies.  They are watched carefully for any signs of bugs or disease before introducing them to my collection.  Some will not be placed in my collection until almost a year.
