BookBargains & Gifts has started on a new journey!  When I started my business it was at a physical store location here in Mineral Wells.  My store was open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and although I had a few customers who liked to come in and purchase books and things, I wasn't earning the income I needed in order to keep paying the bills.

One day my attorney came in and said that he thought I should sell my things on e-Bay because I would have such a large audience to sell too.  Well, obviously it wouldn't hurt to try!  So I started adding a few things here and there and much to my surprise, I was able to sell most of the things that I had up for auction.  Eventually this became much more lucrative than having a physical store location and I closed my store and moved everything to my garage.  Now I truly have my own home-based business and I don't have the expenses of rent, utilities and etc. that I had with the store!!!

What is so surprising about all of this is that two years ago I never would have believed that I could have my own business, much less run it from home.  I used to be a stay-at-home mom who ran the household and took care of the kids.  One day it happened that I needed to find a way to earn an income and I dreaded going back to work and leaving the little ones in day care.  Thanks to the suggestion of my attorney and a little help from a dear friend I've been able to create a wonderful business with the luxury of working from my home.

I just want to say thank you to all the customers who have purchased items from me this past year!  Without you I would not have been able to come as far as I have!  Because of all of this I produce an ezine each week that I send out to several hundred people that focuses on helping other people who have home-based or online businesses.  I want people to have the pleasure of being able to run their own home-based businesses just like I do and I feel that one way to help is by providing free and helpful resources.  Thank you to all!
