Let us introduce ourselves - we are two sisters who have worked together in the past on other adventures and businesses and were now joined together in this exciting eBay venture.  Our current business COTTAGE KEEPERS keeps us busy but we are adding THE-SELLING-SISTERS as a component to this business to ensure us an all season business instead of just the spring/summer.

The need for someone like THE-SELLING-SISTERS has become a definate community need.  The necessary extra help became quickly evident once Carrie's business boomed - hence the joining of Lesley to her selling team ~ THE-SELLING-SISTERS was born.

Our marketing experience and skill has given us an edge on others.  We have investigated and try different selling and marketing approaches - some worked, some didn't.  But we have learned alot and we are selling at a rapid pace on eBay - and because we only sell consignment items we never know what's coming in the door next...so keep an eye on our listings...I'm sure you'll find something you just have to have

Carrie's previous job experience as a marketing manager (11 years) at a very busy and top selling real estate office in Toronto gave her the experience and confidence needed to just go for it - she also manages a household, constant renovations on our 120 year old house, administrates her husbands business and caring for her son has definately increased her multi-tasking skills tremendously.

Lesley's previous job experience in sales and customer service for the past 15 years brings an extensive understanding of personal commitment to sales and organization.  Managing a group of self owned rental and cottage properties, working for a company in commission based sales, constant renovations and caring for her son has honed her multi-tasking skills.

We are also authorized Trading Assistants through ebay - many local buyers have found us online.  We'll sell your items for you too - get rid of that "stuff" that you just don't want to throw out or donate because you think its worth something.  Most of our clients are having us sell estate items.  The old saying goes "Your trash is someone elses treasure".  We photograph, advertise and list your item, package and ship - all you have to do is wait for us to send you your money.  If the item doesn't sell we will try again, many times things will sell on the next time around.  Check your attic, basement, under the stairs - or just stop and take a look around for those items you that you've outgrown or just don't want anymore and give me a call to arrange pickup/delivery.  We use many different selling techniques - get in touch and we'll discuss.

Service description

We will provide advice, research comparable listed and sold products and sell your items on ebay for you. Small items to larger items - contact to discuss items and your goals. It's important for us to know what you want and to determine if we can work together. We'll do our best to get you the best price for your items. We all want a positive outcome. Check your attic, garage, basement, under the stairs or just look around your house and see what you need to get rid of - it's time to clean up and organize - get rid of those items you outgrown or just the plain junk taking up valuable space. Try to keep in mind the time of year and what your selling - you might not want to try and sell your snowblower in July - you'll likely get alot more interest and bids by listing in the fall. Fees

Fees are calculated from the final sale closing price as follows: Selling price CDN .01 - $1500.00 commission is 30% of final sale closing price Selling price CDN $1500.01+ commission is 30% of the inital $150.00 plus 10% of the remaining final sale closing price We calculate the commission rate on the sale price of the item. You are responsible to pay the listing, final value fees and half of the PayPal fee (if applicable), this works out to about 10-15% of the selling price. If the buyer pays with PayPal you will be responsible for half of the PayPal fee - we will apply the other half to the shipping and handling charges. If we are unable to sell your item within 60 days it will be returned to you. We take care of all aspects the shipping and handling of the item. When do you get paid?  We keep a running spread sheet with all the expenses and we pay out once per month on or about the 15th.  We'll provide you with a spread sheet and a payment (if applicable).  We will also keep in touch with random emails.  We have references available.

Terms and conditions

We sell all products "as is" but we do offer a 14 day return policy with some restrictions.  We list the items in many different selling formats - each item is individually analized.  We use many techniques and strategies - call us to discuss.  We will forward you a copy of the listing so you can watch the activity for yourself.  We also like to take advantage of eBay "sale" days where they offer discounted listing fees for a day - it's a random thing though you only get a days notice of the sale but it helps to keep the Sellers costs down considerably.  Sale days are generally held about 1-2 times per month. Buyers on eBay really need to know all the specifics of any item you are selling. The more you can tell me about your item the more successful we'll be selling. Please be sure to tell me about any damage or aspects of your item that would make it less appealing to buyers (honesty goes a long way on eBay).  We are very trustworthy individuals and our goal is to make a decent living and and be able to stay at home and raise our children - its a rare thing these days to be able to raise your own children - many sacrifices need to be made but the outcome is worth it!
