We have been in the fly fishing business in one capacity or other since 1992. We tied commercially for years and sold flies all over the world via our old website Flies-on-Line.com. Finally, we could no longer keep up, do to our huge client base. So in 2004 we started The Big Y Fly Co. Our aim was to do one thing and do it the best on the internet. And that is to sell flies, great quality hand-tied flies, for the absolutely lowest prices possible.

While our goal has not changed the way we achieve it has.  We have expanded and streamlined our shipping facility.  Today we have a joint venture with a newly expanded tying facility.  That allows us to manufacture flies with the strictest of quality controls.  We constantly expand our pattern inventory and sell over 50,000 flies monthly throughout the world.  Although we supply many guides, resorts and fly shops.  The nuts and bolts of our business is with the fly fishing public. 

We also are developing a line of fly fishing tools and gadgets, following the same guidelines that have led to the success as our line of flies.  Top quality products at a fraction of the price you pay elsewhere.

As other top quality products become available to us, they are added. We won't carry them, if we don't believe we can offer exceptional value to the fly fishing public.
