After purchasing a 1908, Railroad Hotel about six years ago. I have been busy trying to restore it to its original glory. It has sat empty for over thirty years, and was quite neglected. It was once, one of the finest first class hotels on the railtoad line. I am passionate about Victorian Antiques ,1830-1901. I look for items with grapes on them, like Rogers 1847 Vintage. I have colleted all my life, and am still pruchasing for the hotel. My plans are to open the hotel as a living museum, to interested parties. A celebration of times past, and a way to honor those who came befor us. The Adams Hotel was listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, on the 12th of December, 2005 . Built in the Colonial Revival style, the Adams HAD twenty two rooms for guests on the second floor, gas lighting, steam heating, its own artesian well. The building has over 8,000 sq ft of living space. First floor contains: the lobby, entry, dining room, double parlors (originally the bar side), kitchen, master bedroom, pantry, and two baths. Upstairs you will find: the Ladies Withdrawing room, guests bath with skylite, solarium, and assorted guests rooms. Thanks for your interest .
