Kathleen Knapp aka The Antique Poole

Welcome to The Edge of the Finger Lakes Region of New York State Once nestled in the hills of Western New York. Back in 1994, I purchased a Building on Main St in Small Town USA. Opening an Antiques and Collectibles Shop after being laid off from a job working for someone else. I have always had an interest in Old stuff since I can remember. Collecting things, collections of collections. I even babysat for an antiques dealer that would pay me in stuff, that I admired. That was my chance to work for myself. This is a single owner shop for over 12 years. It was packed full of lots of interesting items, Antiques, Art and Collectibles. Like walking back in Time. Walking into Grandma's house/attic. In the early years I was running the shop, doing 23 shows a year and running off to classes at University mostly in PA to take classes on this life long interest. About six years ago, after coming back from a show, unloading the van, I fell out of the back of the van onto concrete, injuring my back. Since no doctor wants to try and fix it, I finial had to sell the building, and change the way I do business. I have been here on eBay since 1997, doing appraisals and liquidations mainly now. I really miss doing shows, meeting the people and talking to the regulars that use to stop at the shop. We emptied out the shop in December of 2005 and the photos below were taken when the shop was open to the public. It was kind of a quick sale once it got rolling and most of that stuff is now packed into my home. It is a disaster to say the least, as many of you trader/dealer out there know. If you see something in any of these, pictures, even furniture, please email me since some, a lot of the stuff shown is still available and I will gladly put the item up for auction on eBay. Unique Items fill the Nooks and Crannies There is a wide range of Furniture, from primitive to depression. Tables, chairs, cupboards, stands, side boards, china cabinets etc. In sorted woods, cherry, oak, walnut, pine and basswood. Other items of iron, stoneware, china, glass, pottery. Toys, games, records (33 1/3 - 45 - 78), paper, tin and baskets. Prints, oils, frames, lamp (oil & electric) and shades. Marbles, coins, and bottles. ca. 1800 to 1960's I BUY and SELL what ever comes my way.
